Glad Andy's back on guitar, he's fucking amazing at playing, just listening to some of his stuff with Ride, and I got a feeling its gonna have a much harsher sound than Oasis did, which is kind of good in a way.

Nice one posting Ride. I think people need to be reminded of the immense credentials BE have behind them. I'm hoping to hear more Ride style stuff from BE too.

But that clip AND the single info AND the cover art certainly made me very happy. LOVE the artwork, its very sixties. Clearly Liam's input.

And I agree about Gem - not only does that sound like his style of playing but he has a very cool way of flicking his wrist when playing.

I don't get this. People are saying mega, this is great, oh wow. For what? Its 22 seconds. How can you tell how good a song is by the first 22 seconds. I remember when the Falling Down remix clip came out and everyone was raving about it. Then when it came out everyone said, "oh, its only decent. if not bad"

22 seconds is not enough time to tell whether its gonna be "mega". This happens everytime Oasis or this case BDI comes out with something. We all rant and rave about it and then 3 weeks later its we realize that it was only decent. I'm waiting to hear the single and let about 2 weeks to settle before I judge.

I mean I get that everyone is excited that we finally have music, but wow. I mean like I said, I remember when the same talk was going on about TSOTL clip or the Falling Down remix clip. I'm not saying don't be excited, but let's not burn the house down because of a 22 second clip.

Good example is: if I played you a random 22 second clip of Wonderwall and you had never heard Wonderwall before, would you be able to tell if it was any good? Probably not. Same thing with this, I'd lower expectations a bit. I would just be cautiously optimistic as GDforver said.

disclaimer: I know that this 22 second clip might not be the single and might only be a random album track or b-side, but still the argument holds true.
