I should imagine that we'll hear the track this week & obviously someone will get the world exclusive & i think it'll be Dave Berry from Xfm as he's really good friends with Liam & he's also been on his show a few times earlier this year talking about Beady Eye although he didn't reveal much but Berry has mentioned a few times that he's heard the Beady Eye stuff & loved & it & said people will be blown away by it so i think the band will let him playboy first
also i can't believe that it's not been played yet as the 22nd isn't far away? I thought it was normally a month or more before the tracks released that it gets aired
or maybe it's just me

If it is the 22nd and they want it to chart well it has to start getting played next week

Shades you're right. Usually its about 3 weeks, but looks like it will about 2 weeks to a week and half this time. But yeah, I could see Barry getting the exclusive. They kinda have to get some airplay for it this week. Any later and they've waited too long.

I still think Zane Lowe could be a good shout. Radio 1 will have more listeners than XFM but I think XFM will absolute hammer the single over the next few weeks because Dave Berry is mates with Liam and seemed to like the stuff they are putting out.

The thing is every radio station will have their finger on the play button until the very first play is finished then their allowed to play it, I remember when Noel was at radion ones chris moyles show & they laughed at how the world was waiting for them to hurry up & play it, or something like that anyway

He got that right because Noel was there or something. Cause remember Dave said that if they didn't play it before a certain time they wouldn't get the first play.

I would'nt be suprised if the single is played on radio tomorrow (sunday) as the release date is in 2 weeks time already ...
Considering not everyone will know who beady eye is, I think it is necessary that they play the single on radio for at least 2 weeks before single release. 2 weeks is even quite short.
But maybe Liam is sure the single will be a killer and is not worried.

Zane Lowe is becoming less favourite of mine lately. I don't know why, I was listening to his show last week and I didn't like the way he "treats" a band.
I'd prefer Jo Whiley.

I'm sorry, but i don't totally believe everything i'm reading on here about Beady Eye. I mean seriously, where is the proof? All these rumours of air play, interviews, release dates? Sounds bollocks! There is nothing in the local media. Nothing on the official Oasis site Nothing on the Beady Eye site (not convinced it's official) My local store has no Beady Eye release date HMV has no Beady Eye release date. Sorry. I just can't see a release happening on the 22nd

My guess would be that the information you;re looking for will be available by the end of this week.

You're falling in the latter category right now. The BE website IS official. How the hell would some hoaxer fan get new footage and photos and music of BE and go through the trouble in creating a website as fully fleshed out as that just to get a laugh. And you know the single information was released on recordstore.co.uk but taken down because they obviously want this kept under wraps? And the mods of the official BE forums took down all threads and mentions of the "Bring The Light" release date and single art? And now there's this. mp3.platekompaniet.no/site/web3/view.ftl?page=product_track&productId=4810401Sorry for the rant, but I just don't see how you can deny some of the information we've gotten here.

It says on the L4E homepage, and I quote: "the first single of Liam Gallagher's new band will drop on November 22". It doesn't say it will be released. Drop to me means it'll be debut on radio station's that day, rather than hard copies being released in shops. Not saying this is the case, it's just how I interpret it.

Also the NME took down the article about the single being released on the 22nd so I believe that could be a good guess, although nobody knows for certain we have had some pretty good signs.
If so, I'd expect a mention or a play of it today or tomorrow. Time is slowly ticking away.

If the forthcoming Beady Eye single is released two weeks tomorrow, then it will nothing short of the worst marketing campaign i've ever known. No NME cover No NME page advert No BBC Radio 1 broadcast No MTV exclusive No mention on the Beady Eye site No mention on the HMV singles release (22/11/10) No mention on the UK singles release (22/11/10) The only mention is just repeated comments by Oasis fans on various Oasis sites. Sorry, but it all looks bollocks to me.

Something is not right
like people are saying, why would they bring it out on the 22nd if they have done absolutely nothing to promote it?
Even if they officially announce it tomorrow & we hear it, it's still not enough to promote the bands first single is it?
Unless of course the want Beady Eye to be a less commercial band & don't really care about all the chart nonsense & all that malarky

i don't know where this date has come from (21/11/10) ? It's come from somewhere. But not a place that is being backed up by a credible source. The only realistic hope is that on 21/11/10 will be the first broadcast of the song. Release date possible December or even January after the Christmas rush. That's the best i can come up with.
