Yeah but they need to get the timing right: hold us long enough til excitement reaches fever pitch, but not too long so that we lose interest

If the forthcoming Beady Eye single is released two weeks tomorrow, then it will nothing short of the worst marketing campaign i've ever known. No NME cover No NME page advert No BBC Radio 1 broadcast No MTV exclusive No mention on the Beady Eye site No mention on the HMV singles release (22/11/10) No mention on the UK singles release (22/11/10) The only mention is just repeated comments by Oasis fans on various Oasis sites. Sorry, but it all looks bollocks to me. Well, he DOES have a point. And a good one. There's too much silence, and that cover art for the single is not a proven fact. Anyway we should hear something this week through the BDI site. Otherwise it would be useless.

That Norwegian online music store already listed it: mp3.platekompaniet.no/site/web3/view.ftl?page=product_track&productId=4810401But yeah, I agree that it seems odd this excruciating silence. And we were not even suppose to know the release date!

As I said above, it says the single will "drop on 22nd November". It doesn't state that hard copies of it will be available in shops to purchase. I think people are reading too much into it, I interpret drop as it'll debut on radio stations that day. The picture for the single cover looks a bit slapdash and temporary, you can hardly tell it's Liam. I think it'll need to be instantly recognisable for people in shops to see it and think "oh look Liam has a new band". If the single debuts tomorrow and is released properly on the 22nd I'll eat my hat!

I don't know if it's gonna be debuted tomorrow, but I'm sure that the digital single will be available on the 15th Nov and the physical release will be available on the 22nd

Other than that fact that his hair is stupid, it's obviously Liam. There is nothing wrong with their single cover. And the fact that another very similar picture, but with key differences, was used as a template for the website is a key in his favour. Do you want it to just be a picture of Liams face?

Maybe the norwegain site has the date of the first radio play confused with the date of official release? Although its pretty much the same thing because someone is bound to tape the radio debut of the song and we'll all get it then

One thing I can say about the norwegian site of "Platekompaniet" : they are the biggest music retailer in Norway (HMV of Norway etc.), and they are reliable.
I've sent them mail about the subject, so I'm crossing my fingers that they are answering soon.
