Would you want them to play any of the old tunes? i'm halfway expecting them to steer clear of anything written by noel. We'll maybe get rrs but that's it I reckon. it's all speculation innit  |

i wouldn't care to be honest, one or two songs would be enough for me and it wouldn't hurt anyone imo.
the playlist could be quite good imo, say they open with TUTS, then play ABWR, Songbird, Thank you for the good times, Keep the dream Alive, IOT, insert a couple of Oasis/Noel songs and you've got a pretty decent setlist.

I can't see them having strong enough material of Beady Eye songs plus those Oasis numbers written by Liam, Gem and Andy.
I would love it for Liam to sing Acquiesce or Supersonic during a Beady Eye. I bet Noel will claim copyright royalties.

As much as i wanna hear them tracks it would a mistake to play any Noel written songs. Hopefully we'll hear boy with the blues or maybe eyeball tickler live though & maybe even little James haha

Yeah, hopefully, Beady Eye will play some songs they wrote while they where still in Oasis. I think this'll be a nice oportunity to hear Boy With The Blues, Eyeball Tickler, and songs we've never have heard live before, as well as bring back old live favorites like Turn Up The Sun and Songbird.

But they would be admitting that they couldn't produce enough material to make it without falling back on Noel |

Plus how many tracks do you need them to have. 11-12 songs on the album, around 6 bsides, a dozen decent non-Noel Oasis tracks, plus a cover or two of any other band!
It not hard to come up with enough songs for a show from that. Bands tour with 1 album and a couple singles all the time!

they need Noel's permission to record Noel written songs. Noel has already said this about both Leona Lewis and Ronan Keating. People can cover what ever the hell they like by Noel and he can't stop them unless 1) It's a rip off 2) They start changing it in some way. He still gets royalties though. |
