I'm sure this thread has been done but I can't be bothered to find it, so what is your ultimate 5 albums in your collection.
For me, it goes:
1. Oasis - Definitely Maybe 2. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses 3. The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead 4. The Beatles - Abbey Road 5. U2 - Achtung Baby

do you mean greatest or favorite? Sorry should have cleared it up. Favourite, not necessarily great, but your favourites are great in your eyes. So yeah, favourite. Some interesting choices, especially Aussie's one. I have mates who are into your specific genre who dislike Oasis quite a lot - maybe you should have a word with them! The most recent album I considered for my top 5 list was Elbow's The Seldom Seen Kid from 2008 - I find that album immense.

Hate how everyone puts Urban Hymns up there. It is in my humble opinion the weakest Verve album, miles behind A Storm In Heaven, A Northern Soul and even Forth.

More like elbow, if they're as closed minded as most metalheads I hear from. (And I know a certain radio program is so closed minded, it is a sin to play anything with 'clean' vocals, grow up)
