Hate how everyone puts Urban Hymns up there. It is in my humble opinion the weakest Verve album, miles behind A Storm In Heaven, A Northern Soul and even Forth. That's a very interesting opinion

so very hard to nail it down to just five, but i'll try: 1. oasis - (what's the story) morning glory ? * 2. the beatles - abbey road * 3. oasis - definitely maybe 4. phoenix - wolfgang amadeus phoenix 5. the beatles - let it be / u2 - the joshua tree (tie) *even though i put wtsmg before abbey road, i could call it a tie, because i hold both albums in the same high regard (10/10)

WTSMG Revolver/MMT/Abbey Road (Beatles) The Wall/Dark Side Of The Moon (Pink Floyd) Master of Puppets (Metallica) The Stone Roses (by Engelbert Humperdinck, obviously)
These are the albums I've listened to the most in my life, but I must say I don't often listen to full albums anymore. I've got Spotify syndrome.

Honestly, its going to look like this:
The Masterplan Be Here Now Morning Glory Don't Believe the Truth Definitely Maybe
But if I tried to keep Oasis out of the equation...
Verve - A Northern Soul Beatles - White Album Jam - Snap! Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady The Cure - Disintegration
Followed by... Smiths - Very Best Of Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie Strokes - Is This it?

wow, how things can change in 5 years time: my updated list: 1- oasis - (what's the story) morning glory ? 2- the killers - sam's town 3- catherine wheel - ferment 4- icehouse - man of colours 5- the beatles - abbey road EDIT: honorable mention: the national - high violet see I used to quarral with dev ( britishlove) about this , I said you cant pick a top 10 or 5 in concrete cause your tastes change with time and mood , and I PROVED IT BY showing her her picks in 05 then again in 13 .

(and i have it on vinyl as well).
