If Alonso wanted to win, he should of done it on the track - but once again he has moaned over the radio to let him through. I'm sorry but that is not world champion material - we've seen drivers get preferential treatment (obviously the shambolic Austria 2002 and Australia 1998) but I've never heard anyone apart from Alonso constantly complain over the radio. This has happened before, namely when Hamilton got under his skin in 2007 (and beat him hands down). I think he's the most selfish and arrogant man in F1. He's not the best driver either, as much as he likes to think. At least 4 drivers have put in better performances than him this season, and personally, Hamilton and Vettel are the best two drivers - Hamilton personally the best because he's a real racer, he's exciting to watch and he relies on skill to get past folk on the track. Anyway, I've never seen an absolutely spellbinding performance by Alonso (unlike Hamilton, Schumacher and Vettel) that goes down in history. 4 better drivers than him? Hamilton is not, and calling Alonso selfish, arrogant and moaner and then say Hamilton is better is quite funny, you know, he's been there with his daddy and the FIA always. Let's see, who else, Vettel? right now, he isn't, he's still a bit unexperienced ( see the crash with Webber this year ), but he'll be the best driver, Webber is very good, but I don't think he has the attitude that a champion must have, just like Massa. Then we have Button, who has won a championship because he had a great car, he's a good driver but that's it. And Fernando has had lots of great races, see his two championships with Renault. By the way, I'm SURE Fernando would have get past Massa without letting him, but the team didn't want another Red Bull incident, and Vettel was coming fast ( he almost ended second, that show how a great driver Massa is ) , so they couldn't take the risk. Oh, and the teams do that always, but they tend to be more careful, like McLaren does, so I don't know why people are hating on Alonso for that, when it happens all the time, I'd just call Ferrari a bunch of stupid people who don't know how to drop a hint properly Surely it takes the competition out though? If the winner of a race, is given it rather than earning it? Button and Hamilton have been racing and I hop it continues. I cannot stand Hamilton as good a driver as he is. I hope Button wins it. Are you spanish btw basu?

He's not - but he is the best. Alonso has never had a great race that will live through the ages, even if he did win two world championships (in which he was lucky for an unreliable McLaren in 2005, because Raikonnen was a much more impressive racer that year - Japanese GP need I say more? And he was lucky Ferrari had a slow start in 2006). I can think of Japan 2007 and Britain 2008 as truly legendary performances by Hamilton - much more impressive than anything Alonso has done. Alonso is no doubt one of the best - but this season has been blighted by stupid errors by him, such as his poor starts and erratic behaviour with the car at times. And unlike Hamilton, Button, Vettel and Webber, Alonso is prone to moaning and throwing his toys out the pram if things don't go his way. Not world champion material I'm afraid.

Belgum Grand Prix this weekend - highlight of the racing calendar in my opinion. Fingers crossed for a wet race - and I really want to see the McLarens go strong. Both drivers pretty nifty in wet conditions.
Also, hopefully Schumacher can show what he's capable of at his specialist circuit.

Belgum Grand Prix this weekend - highlight of the racing calendar in my opinion. If you only go to one Grand Prix in your life, it's definitley the one to go to I reckon! The racing's almost always brilliant and it's in a beautiful area too. But yeah, I'm hoping McLaren have closed the gap, it's hard to say after qualifying given the rain in the final minutes. First corner tomorrow should be great. And all the corners after that! Has anyone else used the red button to switch commentary to BBC Radio 5 Live during the races? I've been doing that since the second race of the year and I'm finding David Croft's and Anthony Davidson's commentary is far better than hearing the emotionless Jonathan Legard. As much as I love Martin Brundle. I'd love it if Croft took over Legard's job.

I keep to the BBC TV commentary because I always want to hear Martin Brundle, but yeah, Jonathan Legard is just hopeless.
He's a poor commentator, has made various errors (such as getting simple trivia wrong) and doesn't know enough about the sport. He was a football correspondant before F1! It would be good to replace him. I was disappointed with the abuse James Allen always got as he's ten times better than Legard. Some say he may have been annoying but he knows a hell of a lot judging by the books he's written and his website 'jamesallenonf1' is the best F1 site.

Very good race by Hamilton, I congratulate him, he's really kept on being very fast even raining, though he did lose control once. Good race also by Alonso, it's a shame he had that accident at the start, and the strategy wasn't the best either.

I don't know if he's gonna get the title but at least he's making it quite interesting. And doesn't push the wrong button

And I'm not calling anyone a cheater, I'm calling Alonso one. It seem you don't have any answer for that either. I'd like to see Button or Webber win it personally.

Gutted for Alonso? Little arrogant squirt was angry and blamed Petrov for ruining his hopes - did he expect Petrov to move aside for him? Get real Fernando - do your work on the race track and stop looking for favours you sore loser.
Delighted for Vettel - I can see him and Hamilton having a great rivalry over the next years or so.

He had the fifth best car and was there until the very end. Even the italian media recognised it was Ferrari's fault. You can laugh at him, but he's showed he's the best driver.
Great job of Red Bull, their car was awesome.
btw, McLaren had the best car for a while and Hamilton/Button wasted their chance much earlier...

read my post...
Vettel won. He had the best car. "Great job..."
My joy is that Alonso was there until the very end, and he didn't win the championship cos Ferrari fucked it up. They've admitted it. He should have finished the 5th but instead of that, he was really close. You just have to look at Massa's points to compare.
You can't always win, but you have to try it until the end. And Alonso placed his car beyond its possibilities. The 2 british champions didn't. And that's why I'm sure Alonso is the best driver around.
