Pre season testing starts soon, so we'll be able to see which team has the best package.
Anyway, to start off, what is your prediction as to who will win the title this season?

Bit early for accurate guessing. Obviously I'm cheering for the gentlemen driving the McLarens but as long as the racing's better this year, I'll be very happy indeed no matter who wins. I'm guessing you'll be mostly supporting Schumacher Matt? Dates of new car launches: January 28 - Ferrari January 29 - McLaren January 31 - Sauber February 1 - Mercedes & Williams February 10 - Red Bull & Force India Early February - USF1 February 12 - Lotus Virgin, Toro Rosso and Campos haven't said anything about their launches yet. McLaren are streaming the MP4-25's launch live on their website at 11am this Friday! Luckily I don't have a job so I will be watching. Early prediction for USF1's car: Alonso drove last year's Ferrari around Paul Ricard recently for a Santander promotional event, this is what the new livery might look like:

I love that USF1 car ;D ;D first trainings today in Valencia, we have seen Mercedes and Toro Rosso cars. This will be a good year for Spain, we have 2 races and 3 drivers (there are rumours about a 4th, but it's impossible to tell right now). I hope De la Rosa gets some points, he's quite a good driver. He even made a 2nd when Montoya was injured 3 or 4 years ago. And we almost had a team, but finally Campos Meta has been sold to get the money to be in the races.
My bet goes for Alonso and Ferrari. Forza Alonso!

Liffonmelsmork - Yeah that's right. I'll support Schumacher most, then the McLarens, as I always support the Brits.
I would love to see Massa do great this year also. I'd love to see him beat Alonso.
If I'm a betting man (at this moment in time I'm not sure about any of the team's quality, although Rosberg spoke and didn't sound too overly enthusiastic about the Mercedes), I would say McLaren will be the team to beat this year.

Ferrari looked blinding quick in the first tests, but we shouldn't look too much into it, as a lot changes between now and March. Also, the Red Bulls haven't had a run out yet, so it will be interesting to see how they do.
And I agree with Cata, they would definitely be my three contenders this year.

Most definitely Cata - Schumacher is back as my number one (must update my avatar) - him announcing he was coming back before Christmas was a great present (needed the cheering up as my beloved dog passed away).
Don't think he'll win the Championship this year, but hopefully within the next couple of seasons. A lot can change, but at the moment I'm putting Vettel as favourite. All very well, I'd be happy for anyone to win it except Alonso (don't like the guy at all - bit peeved he went to Ferrari).

On to the second test, then. Once again a minority of the Spanish crowd think it'd be a good idea to show the world that they dislike black people: Putting both Spanish races at risk from exclusion from the calendar. Not that they're any good anyway.

both spanish races at risk from exclusion? really? you sound a bit bitter The FIA made it clear after the first time Hamilton was racially abused in Spain that there would be serious sanctions if something similar happened again. I remember them saying they would not rule out removing the Spanish Grand Prix from the calendar (this was before Valencia was added). It'd be harsh on the 99.9% of Spanish F1 fans who aren't there to stir up trouble but they were warned - although I highly doubt anything will be done about this latest incident. It's 2010; if you don't think racism is a big deal I think you're insane.

nah, I don't think that pic you posted is about a racist matter at all. Are you serious? What do you think it's about then? Do you think whoever made that banner hates both Lewis Hamilton and monkeys, and decided to blend these two things together innocently, unaware of what people could read into it?

that thing is not an "incident" to be talking about banning races. and I don't think those people hate blacks, it's just that your wonder boy is as stupid as good driver, and it's just a way to insult him
yet it's quite funny to listen british people blaming any racism, of course from other countries...

Yeah, if you look closely there's a crude drawing of a monkey. Awful.

Wow you've worked out that the racism being thrown at Hamilton is 'just a way to insult him', what a genius. Its what he is being insulted for that is the problem. We have racism in Britain just like any other country, some have less than us and some have more. In Spain's case you would seem to have more of a problem than us. The worst thing is people like yourself try to downplay the problem, sweep it under the carpet. Anyways, I would like to see Button win it. He got a lot of the criticism even though he won last year. I would like to see him prove it wasn't a fluke.
