This one I didn't get wrong cos it wouldn't make sense, but in the Hindu Times it always sounds to me like 'There's a long, that shines on' instead of 'light'. Weird pronunciation in the singing or just my ears? Lol I've always heard it that way too. It's pretty bad pronunciation by Liam though

"I never defined my way back" - Hey Now! I thought this as well. Also in Hey Now I thought the line was "I got a saint, I'm slipping away".

I remembered another one...
I thought cigs & alc was:
'Cos when it comes on TOUR, you gotta make it happen'
Instead of 'top'.
Kinda made sense though so can see why I got it wrong!

A year and 3 months ago when I first started to get into Oasis, and was listening to Don't Look Back in Anger, I originally thought it was:
"It's so sad to wait", instead of "Her soul slides away".
It kind of made sense at the time, and it didn't dawn on me until I read the lyrics. Both are good, but I like mine a bit more lol

It's funny how people mistake something for the exact same thing. I used to think it's "it's so sad to wait" as well. And then I looked up the lyrics and I went like "oh"

Stand by me, the line "my heart will never be your home" sounds a lot like "my heart will never be your HOLE" when Liam sings it on the album track, actually I thought it was hole for a while until I heard the live versions and the Noel sung rough version.

"Get your shirt together girl"
Seriously, like let's go shopping and buy you a new t shirt cause you've been in that one all the way down to Norway. I don't know what i was thinking.

I thought, until a couple of days ago, that the opening line of Fade In-Out was "Get on the roller-coaster, the thirteenth time today..."

"Cause round this town you've ceased to be, that's what you get for sleeping with the NME...." Pretty sure that one's a deliberate double meaning, and the pronunciation is intentionally ambiguous. Also a possible (probable?) reference to the Sex Pistols' line "I use the enemy/NME" from Anarchy in the UK.

Liam definitely does seem to sing "that's what you get for writing for the NME" at knebworth, so it's a possibility

As I've just heard "Slide away" again after a while, I still hear "I've tried BATHING but I don't know what you're saying to me".

Post your misheard lyrics in Oasis songs.
I used to think the 'The Importance Of Being Idle' line "I sold my soul for the second time" was "I sold my sofa for the second time"

As has been discussed here before the two lines in DON'T GO AWAY
And I wanna be there when you're coming down And I wanna be there when you hit the ground
are often misheard as
I don't wanna be there when you're coming down I don't wanna be there when you hit the ground
which fundamentally changes much of the meaning of the song.

I hear on Morning Glory at iTunes Festival: 'Need a little time to wank now, wank now!'
'Pigs don't cry, never say die!' instead of 'Please don't cry, never say die!' on All Around the World
