None of them will ever make a What's The Story.
Hell, I even see Beady Eye coming closer than some of them.
Damn.

Where's the "none of them" option? Seriously, Coldplay, Muse and U2 aren't actual rock bands. Radiohead isn't in the same genre as Oasis either...and they're even older than Oasis, so calling them the world's "Next biggest band" seems a bit off. As for Kasabian and KOL, they're decent, but nowhere near Oasis. I'd probably say Arctic Monkeys are the world's next biggest rock band. The "rock" part being more important to me than the "big" part... (Quality-wise I'd say The View, but they seem to less popular than they should be.)

I'd probably say Arctic Monkeys are the world's next biggest rock band. No they had their chance and they fucked it up. They needed a mega album to follow their debut and they didn't deliver. They have been on a steady decline ever since. When their popularity was bought back to earth, the haze cleared, the drunks sobered up and upon closer inspection Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not wasn't actually that great after all.

I don't think WPIATWIN is that great either, certainly nowhere near 90s Oasis. Still, as sad as it is, AM are the biggest band out there that can be compared to Oasis. I mean, most of the options in this poll are way more mainstream than Oasis ever was...

I mean, most of the options in this poll are way more mainstream than Oasis ever was... I think the only comparison that can be made between Oasis and the Monkeys is the hysteria that surrounded their respetctive debuts (albeit, The Monkeys were much bigger on debut). Their music styles are worlds apart. I always thought that Oasis were fully entrenched in the mainstream since the release of Morning Glory. A decline in popularity doesn't mean that they are no longer mainstream, HC and DBTT are very mainstream albums.

U2 have been by far the worlds biggest band for many a year now.
Kasabian are my boys in this poll tho.

All of those bands are past their peak(only kasabian might top it), since muse with Showbiz and OoS Kings of Leon with their two or third. U2 since the 90's and Coldplay wants to be a band that they arent. I dont like Radiohead but well Kid A is 10 and their second coming is a bit of meh for me.

Coldplay is the biggest.
I have stopped saying I like/have Coldplay because whenever I list the bands I have on my iPod to play something, as soon as I say coldplay, someone will recognise a name they hear on the radio and say 'Uhh, I think I like that one".
Nothing against them, they just aren't really my type of music. And shouldn't reach the 'Oasis' peak. (Still the biggest here though)

It's a shame The Twang get over looked so much. They would have been big in the Britpop era, I reckon.

Coldplay for sure.
Can't see the fuss in U2, Radiohead, Muse and Kings. Kasabian are ok.
I can't stand KOL's singers voice. Thom annoys me and their music is a bit despressing from what i've heard.

Coldplay is and probably will be the most popular act on there, which is currently followed closely by Muse although they seem to be losing their momentum.

Queens Of The Stone Age have a good chance of becoming the world's biggest rock band.
Not counting Coldplay since they're already huge all over the world. Easily the band with the largest worldwide presence.

Easily the band with the largest worldwide presence. Do you really think so Bruno ? I still say its U-2 I think they could outsell or out draw Coldplay anytime anywhere , jmo. Not arguing it just asking , til they break up I think they inherited that title when the real GNR busted up , I may be wrong though
