God knows what type of music I'd be listening to if I've never discovered them. They've been a part of my life for almost 15 years and they'll keep being in it. They opened up my ears and my mind to a whole new world of music and they brought the most amazing tunes and memories for me and for that I'll be forever grateful. thanks and LIVE FOREVER!

they are unquestionably the template of which I judge every existing and emerging rock band. That's really the highest compliment I can pay.
Since I am a fanatical about music to begin with, I have a lot of other bands to "fall back on", but none of them will ever hold me up like they have.

I dont care half as much as I thought I would. The 15 - 18 year old in me is gutted, the mid to late 20's person in me thinks its the right thing to do. I dont think Oasis have too much unfinished business to tend to. One woeful album and a spectacularly inconsistent tour in four years is not what we, as fans who have invested time and money into, should come to accept.
However one thing that cant be taken away is the history and the songs of this once magnificent band.

Goodbye and thank you, Oasis.
The 3 classic albums, Definitely Maybe, Morning Glory and Be Here Now, are among my all time favourites. Their were some good moments in the previous 3, signs of a return to form perhaps, the next album could have been good, maybe even great, but not as special as the first 3, in my eyes.
R.I.P. Oasis
Long live Noel Gallagher.
