I was 15 when I first listened to Oasis. In the years since it has certainly shaped my identity: my taste in music, my love for England, learning to play guitar and then learning how to write music. I think that Oasis are an extremely important part of my daily life. I hope that never changes

They haven't really to be honest. They're just a band. My favourite band, but a band all the same.

I listen Oasis every day, so it's kinda an important thing to me. I became a fan about 2 years ago. Before that I was into music like Beatles, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. Then a day, bored as hell, I was surfing through the channels on the television and then I came to MTV where they were playing this amazing song: "And so Sally can wait..."
I said to myself: "I've heard that amazing song so many times before on the radio as a child, I gotta know who has made it."
So I got to the computer right after and rougly said DISCOVERED Oasis. It was magical! Actually I knew almost all their hits from the radio without knowing who Oasis were. Of course I had heard about Oasis many times before, but I had never had the interest in music before I got into Beatles for about 5 years ago.
Today Oasis are my absolute favorite band of all time, ruling out everybody. Truly the best.

I personally think they saved my life as well, I am not sure where the heck I would be right now if I didn't find them at 15... I have met so many people, been so many places, had to courage do so many things, met the man I married cos we are both huge Oasis fans, and right now I am preggers with a child who wouldn't be here, if I didn't pick up morning glory at 15. So yes Oasis has changed my life

Hang on, hang on, hang on.......... Are some of you saying you would have killed yourselves had Oasis not exsisted? That Oasis talked you out of suicide? Not quite! See, Oasis have definitely changed my life. Now maybe changed might be the wrong word, but affected would be more fitting. When I first got into them I was 10 and their music, as i got to discover it - and even them as people - really helped me develop and become confident. I guess you could say i get a lto of strength, and 'obsessing' tends to be a favourite hobby of mine, collecting singles and LPs and bootlegs etc. See, i love the Beatles and the Jam and the Cure and the Ramones and Buzzocks and a whole lot. And they're all definitely influenced the way I enjoy and understand and play music. But no bands other than Oasis have really touched my life. It's strange, and we all know it sounds stupid. But somehow, its special. Feeling like a rocknroll star, the Oasis way, thats unbeatable.

well, my first experience with oasis was in 2002 when i was 14 got The Masterplan as a birthday gift and it was the most memorable "album listening" ever in my life.. every single song gave me goosebumps and i simply couldn't stop smiling while listening those melodies, words and that incredible voice! no other band caused me this feeling! became a fan instantly and since that very day there isn't a single day i don't listen to oasis and go to forums like this to know what's going on i've met hundreds of great people through oasis here in brazil (and also in the world) and some of them became my best friends ever.. even two of my girlfriends i've met through oasis the 4 gigs they've done here in May was a cellebration to me and my mates cos' we all live in different cities and even a friend from London (who i've met here in L4E) was there! so yeah, i can say oasis have changed my life!

they've most definitely changed my life, and maybe saved it. Life was hell for me when i was younger, and thought about running away on more than on occasion. I would listen to 'Listen Up', 'Rockin Chair', and 'Underneath the Sky' and just feel ok after that.
I still remember where I was and what i was doing when i first heard Oasis, way back in 95 (as i'm sure alot of you do). My family and my best friends are the only things in this world that mean more to me than this band.

My family and my best friends are the only things in this world that mean more to me than this band. i don't have much of a family at all, and in a way oasis and their music help fill that void... maybe it's sad? but i am being honest here... i don't know what i would have done on alot of those nights where i felt like i was at the end, if i didn't have the MUSIC... man... i hope noel and liam know just how much their music means to so many people.

Of course they changed my life in a music sense. They opened me up to a whole new world of music. Also inspired to play to guitar and write some songs.

I wouldn't say Oasis has saved my life, but they have certainly fueled my interest in music and got me to pick up the guitar.

oasis defenitely had an impact on my life since it pretty much defined my music taste in the important age of 16+ . i can remember buying what's the story and thought it was great but really got into the band with familliar to millions. and oasis at 16+ was going to the clubs i still love, going to the gigs, meeting girlies that like oasis too, thinking it is the most important thing in the world, learned that it is not... but still love it. there is nothing compared to drinkìng beer while watching a football match, listening to oasis on your ipod VERY LOUD and going to the club.

Of course they changed my life in a music sense. They opened me up to a whole new world of music. Also inspired to play to guitar and write some songs. Quite like that here. First kind of music I started to listen and to play. I remeber exactly when I was learning LTBL. Now I don't have time due the College

They changed my social life and allowed me to meet and discuss with new people this amazing band. The knock on effect of discovering BRMC has brought about my 2 girlfriends to date I owe my love life to Finsbury Park, my summer of love. Plus they just exude confidence, always give em a spin just before a night out. The lads love a sing song to Rock n Roll Star and Cigarettes & Alcohol, just doesn't get any better.
