When Sunlun spend 16 consecutive years in the premiership then i'll listen to their legion of fair weather fans. Untill then they remain a Yo-Yo club

Live Forever - when did people start singing the song before the song has even started, only noticed this at Heaton, and then Sunderland the clapping along by themselves in time - fukin hell, makes a good atmosphere though Newcastle 2005 liam let the crowd sing the entire first verse and chorus, was spine tingling! Don't know if you noticed at sunderland but liam actually said ''dya wanna have a crack yourself then'' just as the drums started.

Geordies and Mackems are arguing over who puts the best gig on now?
St. James hasn't really staged all that many gigs to be fair. Take That and Oasis are two HUGE acts for the SOL to have as its first and second.
I'm not gonna claim that the SOL had things very well organised, because they didn't but please don't tell me that gigs are any better organised in Newcastle. I can walk into standing at Newcastle arena with a seating ticket, and I have done many times. I didnt realise that was happening at the SOL but it doesnt surprise me that it was. I didnt hear about anyone getting robbed (in response to a previous comment) but I'm not surprised that it did, to a probably small minority) it happens at gigs. The metro and taxi queues afterwards were appaling but they put the metro's on til 1 or 2 or whatever it was which was good planning, next time they just need to find a way to execute better. There was piss being thrown around but that happens at open air gigs, its happened at every open air gig i've ever been to.
The closing of the exits in the east stand (and maybe the west) to those in standing room was stupid, and I don't know why they did it. They were open until about the time Kasabian came on and opened again after Oasis left the stage but in the meantime you had to fight your way to the very back to go take a piss. That was poor organisation. Everything else I have seen, heard or read that Geordies are complaining about happens in or at most venues, including Newcastle.

A superb gig and it is no surprise that plenty of bitter geordies have come out of the woodwork in frustration. Noel Gallagher does like a fat crying geordie though so he'll be happy :-)

Stop taking the piss out of Sunderland, at least they play in a better league than the toon. You keep mouthing, you will end up in the basement league again like you did years ago. Newcastle are, have been and always will be a second rate mid table team, face it, you know it and I know it and all fans, including Sunderland know it also.............live with it!!

How's about you all have your North East quarrels through PMs? No-one south of Middlesbrough gives a shite, it really is tedious.

Basement league? Never been outside the second tier of English football, Sunlun on the other hand have managed to "grace the third tier". And how does my mouthing effect my clubs league standing? Have always and always been a mid table team? You may want to recheck the mid 90's and and early 00's ye were too busy eing relegated to take much notice at the time i suppose

I couldn't give a fuck ither tbh, i was just pointing out how I heard from several people that security was lax at the gigs, which it was and I put this down to inexperience of such large crowds at the stadium. The sunlun fans are just still pissing themselves at the prospect of being in a division high than Newcastle for the first time in decades

there are no friends between Sunderland and Newcastle fans lol
but yeh i suppose St James Park may be a bit awkward to stage a gig as there are 2 different sizes stands - thats why Old Trafford doesnt stage that many.
