Well... this is where I want some fantasy. Not what do you think will happen. WHAT DO YOU WANT! How many songs? More Noel singing? What sound? When? Who should produce it? Who should be writing? Have fun! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/7QKGdm487eYnX65W8w0g.gif)

I'm gonna try and be a little realistic.
1) I wouldn't mind the traditional 11, but more is always good.
2) Noel's voice to me should be a rare treat and included on only one or two tracks because afterall, Liam is the singer.
3) I'm not sure what type of sound I would like, but I guess more in the likes of an improved BHN with a mix of DBTT, kind of like what were supposedly promised before.
4) However long it takes for it to sound good.
5) Dave Sardy isn't bad but he cranks up the volume almost to the point where it sounds too much like noise. I think Noel did amazing work on previous albums, btw.
6) Noel should do all the writing like in the old days. And leave the b-sides to the rest of the band, unless they're unbelievably good.
I had fun!.. Mission accomplished.

How many songs? 12-14. Maybe double, but thats too much to ask.
More Noel singing? Same. 3 Noel
What sound? Now I'm into acoustic stuff. Kind of 'DBTT' and 'Colma' thing. Also, I want a new instrumental.
When? Tomorrow if u don't mind, Noel. Seriously, July 18th 2011.
Who should produce it? Donut Dave. I wouldn't mind if they ask Rick Rubbin's help too.
Who should be writing? 8 Noel 2 Gem 1 Andy 1 Epic Liam
or
6 Noel 2 Gem 2 Andy 1 Epic Liam

The only fantasy I'd have is for Noel to sing a song he didn't write. Wouldn't that be trippy?

Oh HRMR - what a tough question! In all honestly I'd like to be surprised (and for them to stay together...come on Oasis!) BUT - while there are a few "styles" of music I like, there are two I think Oasis could pull off really well: 60s psychadelica - Like early Pink Floyd, and my new love "Gandalf" (a youtube link if anyone's interested: Just wait for the guitar to come in - that is some kind of genius at work). At the very least Oasis should cover this song - or have someone remaster it... I think all members of Oasis would be up for writing this type of music. Or straight up RnR - like the Stooges or MC5 (i.e., the early 70s Detroit scene). This is maybe more Liam and Gem territitory. I forgot to answer your questions: How many songs: More than 11! Noel singing: 1 or none! (sorry Noel, but I don't like it) What sound: see above When: now! Producer: Hmm, I don't know. BUt Rick Rubin is supposed to be great. Maybe that Amorphous fellow? Writing: Whoever has the spark

The only fantasy I'd have is for Noel to sing a song he didn't write. Wouldn't that be trippy? There's a couple of recordings of Noel singing To Be Where There's Life at a couple of soundchecks from this tour. And there's also a clip from German tv of Noel doing Songbird (Which I think suits his voice very very good!). How many songs?I wouldn't mind 12-14 songs actually. More Noel singing?Three would be good. Noels tunes on the last albums have been brilliant! Yes, also High Horse Lady in my honest opinion What sound?Obviousley being a major Be Here Now fan, I'd wish they'd make an album like that again. Huge anthemic rockers, beautiful ballads, as well as over the top produced goodness that is All Around The World and It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) When?Realistically, I think it will be out in the summer of '12. I think they're gonna do like they did on Heathen Chemistry. A month or so touring for the anniversary tour ('11 being their 20th year as a band), and then releasing the album in the following summer. Who should produce it?I don't mind Sardy actually. As long as he don't make another mistake that was The Turning. And no, I don't mean that The Turning is a bad song, because it's brilliant, but you can barely hear the choir. Who should be writing?Mostly Noel. Give Liam his usual three tunes, and let Gem and Andy have one each. But Andy better deliver a better tune than The Nature of Reality the next time around. I'd also want a Liam sung Record Machine on the next album, as well as Come On, It's Alright and Liams Evil Eye. Freaky Teeth sounds like it could be a really cool song too! And then I'd want the new 18 minute epic that Noel played on a soundcheck in Hong Kong back in April. Liam sung of course ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I want it to be next in the trilogy of DBTT and DOYS, with its individual sound. Produced by Sardy. Songs written by band members other than Noel should be relative to the number of tracks. If there are 12 songs, maybe 7-8 Noel written and the rest by the others. Noel should sing 2, 3 at most. And the album should close in an epic rocking duet!

How many songs? 11 or 12 would do fine, 15 would have me on my knees
More Noel singing? 2 songs max. Cause of the sound I want. Have him sing the more floating numbers, Liam does the heavy rockers (like he should have on FON, MF, WFTR)
What sound? Heavy and loose rnr, like the stooges. Have loads of the synthy kind of stuff CB added to the falling down remix. Really loud Liam vocals, turned right up in front of everything. Have 2 dreamy, crazed psychedelic numbers towards the end with Noel on vox/duet. The vocal melodies need to be like early Oasis stuff, hooky but suit the loud guitars (Supersonic)
When? ASAP but realistically, 3 months off after the tour and straight into the studio
Who should produce it? Produced and mixed by the Chemical Brothers and Twiggy. Get amorphous androgynous to do a complete remix of the album too, just mash the songs up and have like a 2 hour psychedelic mix of it.
Who should be writing? Probably Noel, Liam, Andy and Gem to have one each.
really like the fact they have continued on the DBTT line of making albums that fit together as a sound. Should be the same for this album.
picky much???

I'd have a 12 song album produced by Mark Stent. The production values on songs from the SOTSOG sessions are fucking immense. And a bit more experimentational, Noel, while you're at it.

New Record
Songs - 12
Sound - Very simple acoustic melodies, then build around that with rocky electric guitars! Catchy bass & drums and also experiment with different sounds. So basic acoustic feel, phsyadelic guitars n bass and very experimental.
A better version of SOTSOG.
Writing - Noel should so 6, Liam does 2, Gem does 1, Andy does 1 and Gem & Liam write a tune together. Cut one of Liams if it is not upto scratch.
Mix of great ballads to highlight Liams vocals and also a lot of great rock-sounding guitar tracks. Write tunes that will sound good live.
Also agree that there needs to be a lot more b-sides. Maybe 9 or 10 with Noel only writing 3 or 4 let the others show of their talents and practise writing the tunes.
Singing - Liam with 9 songs and Noel with the other 3. Also maybe bring Gem or Andy in with a little bit of vocals or maybe backing vocals on a track or two.
Producing - Noel with Dave Sardy. Dave is the pro but Noel knows the proper direction and feel and it has to be 50-50 rather than Noel just assisting Dave.
Release - Some time between 2012 or maybe 2013. Dont rush it like what happened with some in the past. Maybe release another a sort of Stop The Clocks 2 with a mix of new stuff like 'I Wanna Live A Dream In My Record Machine' and also old stuff like Gas Panic! that didn't make Stop The Clocks. This should keep the fans happy.

Noel should write them all, Liam should sing them all (except maybe 1 Noel-sung) - that's Oasis. Simple.

I hope a production by Danger Mouse. That would be very interesting. That it would , but I cant see Noel or Liam using a hip-hop producer however diverse he may be. It just wouldn't happen!! I have a feeling its going to be the lads from amorphous androgynous if its not Sardy and if they don't do his solo album. Noel loves that album and I think there DJ'ing the after party at Wemberly too!!! As for the album I'd like to hear some more strings......Originaly I think that was the vibe of DOYS until Dave Sardy convinced Noel otherwise!!

Oh, and I'd like another record produced by Mark Stent, the SOTSOG producer. That album is (in my opinion) the best produced of any of Oasis' albums, the whole sound is just brilliant and clean and it captures the mood of the album perfectly. I really wouldn't want another self-produced album like they did with Heathen Chemistry - that was dreadful

- 12 tracks
- 9 written by Noel, 1 each from the rest.
- 2 sung by Noel, One duet, the rest are Liam's.
- Released summer 2011
- The sound should be a cross between DOYS and MG. Should have the bassy feel but also some epic radio friendly anthems and acoustic numbers too.
- The Producer = Me
