Very good post by HRMR
SONGS: 12
NOEL SUNG SONGS: Three - one at the beginning of the album, one in the middle and one near the end
SOUND: Very melodic, chuck in sing-a-long anthems, the epic ending, give me an orchestra and choir - the whole shabang! Fuck the groove and show some ambition.
RELEASE DATE: Some time in 2011-2012, with a huge comeback single - a bit like when Beautiful Day by U2 was released and everyone was surprised how good it was after everyone thought they'd lost it.
PRODUCER: Mark 'Spike' Stent - his work on SOTSOG is amazing. Very clean cut and fresh sounding, unlike Sardy's flat sounding unambitious dirge - the guy is scared of ambition. I mean, he mixed the choir on The Turning so low you don't even notice a choir. He's bollocks, unlike Stent who is currently producing Muse's next album which is symphonic rock.
WHO SHOULD WRITE: All songs by Noel except one each for Andy, Gem and Liam - their best work will make it on the album - no shit like Ain't Got Nothin creeping in. Noel saves all his best for the album, while the others can write b-sides.

All I can say is that I disagree with Noel singing so much and it'd be nice to have more than one Liam song

If we're going by what we THINK we already know - we're looking at a more sing-songy record, one that could truly rival WTSMG
STC, RM could provide the foundation
And that's exactly what I want.....DOYS was a DM attempt....time for a more sing-songy album but unlike DBTT let's have a full sound (instead of stripped down)...RM has the potential to be one of Oasis' best songs if done right, and STC could be huge, too
They play it right we're in for something really special. Please Noel, don't fuck up the tracklisting again....

How many songs? 12
More Noel singing? I like it the way it is for the last couple albums. 3 is good
What sound? I'd love to see another crack at recreating the sound of WTSMG. A bit pop-ish but when I think of Oasis, I think of feel good tunes and that's what they do best.
When? Early-Mid 2011. Seriously ASAP.
Who should produce it? Owen Morris
Who should be writing? 8 Noel 2 Liam 1 Gem 1 Andy
