Might be just me, but I just listened to All Around The World with headphones on, and when Liam sings "time keeps rolling by" for the second time in the song, you can hear something rolling in the background, but its not easy to hear because of the guitars

I just realized there are only two Noel-penned-and-Liam-sung songs on DBTT, which are Lyla and Let There Be Love, and one of them has the climax sung by Noel. It is also the album that has the most Noel-sung songs with four, if you include LTBL. Even more, the number of songs written and sung by the current BE lineup is six, which is just over half of the album.
Possibly hinting that there was already some dichotomy between Noel and the rest of the members at the point, at least musically?

It was also the best Oasis album post-MG, IMO and disproves for mine that there are no capable songwriters in Beady Eye

Which instrument is being played at The Meaning of Soul solo? Is that an harmonica?

Hmmm...
All Around The World was the first UK single to have its name on the front cover HC had 3 Noel-penned and Liam-sung songs DBBT had 1 and a half (Lyla and Let There Be Love) DOYS had 3 Lets All Make Believe was the last Noel-penned and Liam-sung B-side - released in 2000 Noel sang all songs on the singles SMC and Falling Down Johnny Marr plays on Songbird (Demo)

I'm not sure if this has been answered yet but I've seen a few people ask on here what is said in the intro to Columbia. The same question has begged since I first heard the song five years ago. I always thought it was Liam saying something like "I'm so high" then something else inaudible. But I've finally found the answer! According to Tony and Chris Griffiths (Of the Real People) what is said at the beginning of the song is actually " A man saying ‘I’ve seen so much to disgust mother, take me into your arms…how am I to protect you?’. Its no one from the band who says it, its taken from a sample of a random CD! This is where I heard this from www.oasis-recordinginfo.co.uk/?page_id=544Sorry if this question has already been answered its just bugged me for years what is said at the beginning of Columbia!

Ah, the Columbia sample...glad you found the article! It'd been bugging me too, hence my attempt to research it. I posted some more detail on this here, after Anjali Dutt kindly confirmed the bulk of the words spoken in that sample: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/71263/where-columbia-speech-samples-come?page=1#post-944997Would love to find out what those random CDs were, to hear those samples in their original context. The first one almost sounds like it could be taken from a film IMHO (perhaps making it a sample of a sample?). The chanting is a unidentified too. I think these will remain a mystery though, unless Mark Coyle or Noel remembers the source... (unlikely as I think they were high as a kite when taping Columbia... see the DM DVD documentary... "cabbaged" was the key phrase

There is this annoying keyboard at the back in Face The Crowd. It's just one key played again and again throughout the pre-chorus and chorus. It starts around the 2:00 minute mark. Quite irritating.

Not Oasis, but there's background whispering in Soul Love, adding to the paranoid-feeling of the track.

Click track is audible right at the beginning of Slide Away. Listened to it with high quality headphones last night and noticed it.

For ages I was adamant the Hindu Times' chorus lyrics were "God give me soul, coz I can't roller blade" and I was right and everyone else was crazy and wrong. The more I thought about it I the more I realised I was probably wrong and it wasn't something only I had noticed...

At the start of Half the world away noel says "Yep, we're on" That's producer Owen Morris who says yeh, we're on, you hear Noel giggle in repsonse. The beginning of The Masterplan is Noel trying to get Liam to do the 'count-in' 1-2-3-4.
