I really don't think they are coming this tour. If they were then it would be now after all they are just a few hours plane trip from Taiwan or Singapore. Bands usually tour Aus/NZ after Asia as it makes economic sense to fly all the gear a relatively short distance from there/ I can't see them just coming to Aus from say Europe or the US, No, I don't think its going to happen. The last time they came they didn't exactly set the media on fire, well they were totally ignored. I think they noticed this and will probably think that no one is interested. Well I haven't heard any of DOYS played here, nothing. I guess they would look at Album sales and radio plays and think no one will show up so you can hardly blame them. I saw them last tour at the Horden and it was a horrible venue and a lack lustre show (which had poor reviews, well some press I suppose). They certainly didn't look like they enjoyed it and just went through the motions. Sorry its too small for a real oasis gig. I don't think they would want to go back wards in only playing to a few thousand rather than 10's of thousands. It's only us die hards who are interested it has to be said.. All Australia is in to now is Coldplay, Kings Of Leon, Pink AND not forgetting Andre Rieu (seriously, he sells more albums and DVD's than the other artists put together) I just don't get Australia, strange. . Wolfmother are coming back though and the new single is not bad (well same old over the top 70's Purple derived riffs and hammond organs but give me that over Kings of leon any day) you can download their new song for free at www.wolfmother.com/ Here if anyones interested

I was at the first night at Hordern and thought it was a great gig (aside from some initial sound problems on TUTS). Aside from this, Noel has categorically confirmed that Australia will be included on this tour. I don't seem him making such a statement if details were not fairly concrete. They'll be here. As others have alluded to, my money is also on September...

Does seem like they won't be coming to this part of the world on this tour now. If they were then it would be after Japan/Asia rather than having to travel all this way from the UK again. Thank heavens they organised Wembley for when I'm in London this year so I finally get a chance to see them live.

They didn't come here after Japan cause there was a fight for the ticket rights or something and it went so long that they probably don't have time to organise the gigs now. They will be back later, now that the shit is sorted out

Hope your'e right. I would love to see them again. I saw then second night of the Horden shows and it seemed very flat.
It's just that every time they have come before they have played Asia so it seems like it will be expensive for them to fly out to this part of the world without any smaller stepping stones along the way.
I don't know hope your'e right.

don't think the distance is something to make them not go do a concert i mean, they played around Asia now, Africa next and then South America!! far as hell bet my money oasis will play australia.. this world tour is being very unusual, so i wouldn't be surprised if they play in new zeland

I don't know hope your'e right. I was @ both horden shows and the second night was brilliant.. I then went on to melb for the first night @ festival hall and it was insane..(noel even commented about how good the crowd were) While the media / radio may give them nothing over here(AU), the fans know how good they are.. The time they came out here b4 the horden/fesitval hall gigs was in 2002 for the HC tour and the venues were bigger in 05! So i think its safe to assume that the fans have stuck by them over here even if the casual (bandwagon jumping) music listener (who listens and purchases what the 2 major commercial radio stations tell them to) does not.

i would say they'll come to Australia (maybe NZ) after that Fuji Rock Festival at the end of July.
wouldn't be very economical to fly back to europe and then visit OZ a few weeks later

Noel said the show would go on until October on the radio show this weekend. They will be playing the festivals around Europe, they might even play in Russia then or some other parts in easter europe. As far i know theyve only played Poland and Prague in that area. Then the UK show and then probably finish off in Australia and maybe even play NZ. They have played loads of places that they dont normally do. Anyways, its all just speculation.

The band really need to get out here and play some kick arse rock and roll and show this anti-Oasis country what all the fuss is about! Come on lads, Aussie radio and music media may hate you but let your live music do the talking and blow all these fucking naysayers away!
Seriously, Oasis' profile couldn't be worse in Australia. Get on Triple M's pitiful site and see the relentless slagging off the band have been receiving over the blogging/tweeting war of words between Liam and Noel. I'm one of the few who has blogged supporting the band. Whoever posts the initial 'articles' on those pages dislikes the band vehemently and does little research. They even took Noel's recent 'rudderless ship' comment as a sign the band would be splitting. I corrected them on that and then some...
I hope Oasis do come in September/October although if I was them I wouldn't feel terribly welcome... It's disappointing really when you see the rapturous reception that the people of South America have given the band. Oasis's popularity here would suddenly soar if they changed their name to Kings of Leon or Green Day before going through Australian customs... Fucking sad.
