Chill out son, the shows will be sold out and that's all we have to worry about.
As for Triple M, nothing could be more irrelevant than that station, as it continues to drop down to unprecedented levels in the FM ratings.

Get onto Rebel.fm if you live in South East Queensland, they play buckets of Oasis and give the boys a big rap. One of the only stations I know of that does. They even broadcast over the net for those that can't get near em. Not an amazing station but one of the best we have. So much shit on Aus radio

it sure isn't looking good. I would have thought they would have announced the dates if they we going to play here in September.... Despite Noel confirming the tour would finish in October (& that they would play Australia), I wonder if the tour will now be finishing in August.... very disappointing if that turns out to be the case...

From recent articles re: the Dig Out Your Soul World Tour, August is indeed being bandied about as the concluding month. Australian fans will almost certainly be shafted if that's the case. That really is disappointing considering Oasis haven't been here since 2005 and despite visiting Asia earlier in the tour, we were completely overlooked when the band moved on to South America. That didn't make any sense from a geographical point of view. Despite the underwhelming media support for Oasis here, Australia is a large and affluent market for a big international music act and bloody hell, if they're testing their popularity in places like South Africa and Korea, surely we'd be on the agenda. Oh well, there's an Oasis cover band based in Sydney if all else fails... Their Liam looks a lot like Liam Gallagher at least and the guitarist has an axe with a union flag on it...

haha forestfan yeh id rate aussie above S.A anyday but yeh, i guess we can be pretty certain they wont come to NZ now anyway, which sux. hmm yeah i really wanted them to come here theres still a glimmer of hope they might... THE PLOT THICKENS' 2009-07-26 Jisan Valley Rock Festival 2009-08-22 V Festival, Staffordshire OK PEOPLE look at those dates... theres a gap between them that is signficant its fits with the whole tour finishing in AUGUST thing HOWEVER.. The tour would have be announced this week at the latest next week AND UNFORTUNATELY It would appear that SEPTEMBER is rather close and a TOUR is not gonna happen ********* ********** MAYBE AFTER AUGUST IS THE BEST BET AFTER-ALL... In an interview in Hong Kong I believe GEM said the tour would end in OCTOBER AND with NOEL saying YES WE ARE GOING TO OZ i'd say lets not panic BUT AWAIT AN ANNOUCEMENT VERY SHORTLY if there isnt a tour..i could quite possibly become another suicide statistic Oh yeah and when they come to AUSTRALIA they better play some decent venues 20,000+...

well noel has just mentioned on his blog that the tour finished 2 games into the Premier League season which is pretty much the 30-Aug when the last confirmed official date is so maybe they wont be extending the tour, unless they will just be having a little break??? Doubt it. Looks like they aint coming....

It's strange that they've been talking about touring these places (well Australia and the US again) for awhile - but now it seems they've just up and decided to quit the tour.
Can't blame them though, they've on the road for almost a full year now.

I hate to put down the hopes of Australian + NZ people, and I hope I am wrong, but reading that Twitter saying Oasis would be coming to Australia just seems like cheating yourselves.
He has said before they(as in he+people involved in business) gonna do a PG tour later on this year. Italy, Paris etc were mentioned. That whole sentence refers to PG, there's no Oasis mentioned and all the content of it really just seems to be about PG. Hardly think he'd mean PG=his parka only. There's been no PG promotion/sale in Oasis gigs except for Liam+Gem wearing some stuff, and Liam dedicating a song for "PG posse" sometimes.

probably just a pretty green press tour....
This tour has been beyond tremendous but I would be pissed if I lived in...
1) Australia (they should have visited post Japan) 2) Boston - amazing this was skipped 3) Toronto (1 festival gig that was not a great night)

Can't see why fans who would be gutted for missing them on tour wouldn't bother travelling some 300km... Australia+NZ though... *_* Would hate to live there, I feel sorry for you lot. So far from the centre of music world.

just strange. biggest tour ever and they don't visit down under. noel confirmed that they'll doing a few gigs there in an interview, but no sign after that. always thought they have a solide fanbase, remember when noel played a full tour of his solo gigs only in australia.
but on the other side they would already announced it if there were any gigs in the next few months

i think the first part of your original post could be taken a few ways i think he took it as are there any oasis fans on here from wellington NZ, then said nope. but another way of taking it could be i hope oasis play wellington?
hope i made some sense atleast. haha prob not.
