Des Moines would be nice..............................
But I'd be surprised if they sold 30 seats.

Des Moines would be nice.............................. But I'd be surprised if they sold 30 seats. hahahaha. I have a great quote from Liam (from the '06 shows) when my friend told him she was from DM: (convo was between her, Phil, and Liam) L: And how about you? M: Me? L: Yeah, where are you from? M: Des Moines, Iowa. L: Iowa? *looks at Phil* That's where we're playing tomorrow. P: *half laugh* No... L: No, no. It is! Cincinnati, Iowa. P: *laughs a bit harder* No, it's Cincinnati, Ohio. You've never done Iowa. L: *confused look* What the fuck's in Iowa then? lulz.

Just gonna throw this out, but I'm betting that since they're doing South American shows, there's probably a good chance that the N.A ones are still on for spring.
Just my two cents...

Just gonna throw this out, but I'm betting that since they're doing South American shows, there's probably a good chance that the N.A ones are still on for spring. Just my two cents... Was JUST about to post that. I am really excited after the announcement of that South America show in Peru. Right around when they'd be playing N.A.... So the Peru show is April 30...and before that is April 13 in Cape Town..and after Peru is the start of the supergigs at Heaton. So we have a gap from April 31-July. I figure they take off June to prepare/rest of the remainder of the tour since they will be doing tons of big shows and festivals. If they are in the area at the end of April, why not another "quick" tour of the U.S. like this past December? I figure they switch up the venues but keep major cities on such as N.Y. and L.A. I don't see them selling out MSG again, so as previously said maybe a show at Radio City or even Jones Beach if its late enough in May. I wonder if they will maybe try and fit it in between Cape Town and Peru but a 2 week period would mean going right from Africa to the U.S. and doing a show almost every night...which again leads me to believe they should do this U.S. tour in May. The entire month, or the majority of it, in America. And a big worry of mine was the timing of the announcement and that it would be too late at this point to announce a show. Well if they just announced one for April 30, they certainly can announce shows for May. If this is right, I will literally jump for joy.

That totally makes sense. I was getting worried with all the rumours going around that the US spring tour had been dropped all together. At least this means that there is hope ;D

Damn, I was hoping for August.... I still am. Hey man, I'd be great with August also. In fact, I think I'd rather have it. A nice August show would be a great atmosphere, and we would probably get any changes that they make to the setlist for the supergigs.

You've never done Iowa. L: *confused look* What the fuck's in Iowa then? lulz. Thanks for sharing this little story. ;D That's a normal response. Even people who live in the US somehow confuse Iowa, Ohio, Idaho, etc. I'll be disappointed if there is no US spring tour. I don't know if I can wait till fall. And I got the hopes up of my friend who I turned into an Oasis convert after taking her to a concert in December. She wants to see them again ASAP now that she actually knows more than two songs. And I don't really want Oasis with the Killers. That would just make the setlist shorter and there is no way the Killers would be opening for Oasis in the US. I like the Killers, I just want two separate shows (even though doubling up makes sense with this economy!).

They always come with Hatton whenever there's a big fight right? Well, there's going to be a huge fight between Hatton and Manny Pacquiao (who recently fought Del La Hoya and won) around May, so they have to do a gig in Las Vegas just like they did last year.

I live in Boston but saw them in NYC this past Dec. I reckon that since there's an odd and conspicuous vacancy on the calendar for the entire month of May, that's when the U.S. tour will be. Plus, all the outdoor venues they usually play will be open by then. Not worried, to be honest.

FYI everyone, Oasis will play 3 shows in Brazil 2 in Argentina and 1 in Chile, as of yesterday of the Argentine capital's newspaper published that Oasis will indeed do a gig @ River Stadium. they'll be busy touring South America during May, at least for the first half of the month. You guys don't seriously think Oasis would just make a stop in Peru and not visit the other countries!? It's also being rumored that they'll play 1 date in Venezuela. and (this part has actually been confirmed) Peru is only the first show they will play in South America, meaning the previous15 days they'll have off.
