At the very end of the Matt Pinfield interview Noel confirms that they are returning to the states in the spring time before he is quieted by someone who I assume is one of his PR people.

Just look at where they went for the last two tours. It'll be pretty much the same. I expect they'll play Indy, so I'm hoping I can swing the dough for that.

Did anyone here in the background someone says "He doesn't know" or something, and I feel like Noel was cut off and told to stop talking about it or something. Makes me think its a big secret. But this is fucking great! I would love to see them come back!

If they switch up the set list a little bit I would be more than willing to drive from Chicago to Indy, Milwaukee, or somewhere else in the area and see them again.

Weezer is not horrible. I have seen them in concert and they rock. Some of their songs are lighthearted but they have some serious rockers too. Weezer may sell more records in U.S. but I think Oasis is a bigger draw at shows. I would hope Oasis would go on second but it's almost like a double bill.
Maybe they could throw Kasabian on too. Any rumour on their next record release date?

If this is true then there most likely will be at least a couple of Canadian dates. I'd like to see some sort of official announcement soon.

I kept hearing May thrown around as the date when they were coming back. I can see that or April, seeing as their last tour date (atm) is the 28th or 29th of March in Japan. So I would keep my eye out for dates around there.

there is no way that Oasis would open for weezer for all shows. I could see a 50/50 spilt. When weezer played MSG the building was 1/3 EMPTY. So there are many market where Oasis crush Weezer.

If they gonna tour May they probably play outdoor concerts.Like in 2005,....the bowl, redrocks, lakewood, tweeter center.....!!!!But if they play without any other "big" band, they should not play big arenas anymore,......except MSG,Staples and Patriot Center!!!Would be nice to see them in places like the Civic center in Atlanta or the Nokia theater in Dallas!!!

I don't follow your logic. The weather in May is miserably unpredictable at best. Usually they play indoor venues in the summer here in the US.
