IS THIS TRUE? ANOTHER NEW YORK AREA SHOW?!?!? Hope so. I ended my year with seeing them and it'd be great to see them again in the new year...

I'm hoping for smaller, more intimate venues this time around...MSG blows if yer not near the stage. Beacon Theater, Roseland Ballroom, etc would be great again.

I wouldn't mind if they played large arenas if they come back to Ottawa, Toronto or even Montreal. They usually sell those places out and the atmosphere is great.

For sure they'll play Toronto. It's really the one guaranteed stop in North America every time, because it sells out big time for the outdoor shows. (they doubled us up for the DBTT tour).
Can't f'n wait!!!!!

Been thinking about this lately regarding a possible tour with Weezer. If they do tour with Weezer then it is most likely that they will hit the major cities again where they already played. Even though Oasis have already played there, Weezer will most likely want to play those big cities themselves so I see them going back.

Weezer will join them on the tour. Done deal.
From what I hear, the shows will be mainly outdoors. One of the shows will be at the Irvine Amphitheatre. Should have more info soon if that's ok.

Thanks for the information! But because people are saying this tour will be in April/May time would they play outdoor venues in North cities like NY?I don't think that any of the outdoor venues would probably be open for concerts by that time.

well, jones beach's first show is usually in late may, i believe last year the first show at jones beach was May 25, which, could fit the time frame of this tour, late April-Late May-ish

I know it's early, but let me know when/if a Boston date is scheduled. If they play here again, it's going to be a celebration of life.

Hope they come down to Dallas this time. Preferably to the Nokia Theater, since it's a 2 minute drive from my place.

Fuck that NO big venues and although Im cool with Weezer, I dont want them to tour together. Thats only gonnna push it to larger venues and some prick Weezer fans hating on Oasis. Be ace to see them play the new Club Nokia (2300 cap) in Downtown LA or the Wiltern (2200 capacity) the newly revamped and legendary Hollywood Palladium (4000 capacity) would be the biz, I could go for two nights at that venue.

I was thinking about the Weezer fans too.
But from what I've seen, many Weezer fans don't mind or actually like Oasis, it's the others that I'm worried about.

There will be an inordinate amount of thick-rimmed art school glasses in the crowd.

Listen, I don't care if Oasis is billed with Amy Winehouse. If they are playing a set, I'll be pumped to go. Let's be glad its Weezer who isn't TERRIBLE and unlistenable. I can't wait for this announcement

I'm fine with them playing with Weezer, but I want an Oasis concert, not the short set like they played with the Black Crowes... Weezer are no Oasis, hopefully they don't get more respect than they deserve, this SHOULD NOT be a double headline tour

people need to get a grip with this whole anti-weezer thing. They're not some mom and pop operation that sprouted up 6 months ago. They've sold millions of albums and have a VERY solid following here in the states.
I'm not a massive fan, but they've got plenty of songs for a rockin set-list.

Weezer is cool, btw. It's their fans that are the stools.
