its probably not getting enough spins on the air.people should be consulting their local radio stations.there are so many songs in a dj's head to put on the playlist,...that some get left out.i think this is the case, mostly with American dj's.if you keep requesting it ,it will become a regular on their playlist.

Not ALOT have changed in the charts world since the importance of... got to #1 and NOTHING has changed since TSOL got to #3. with all do respect, as much as the music is the most important thing, for a band like oasis, reaching to #12 is disgracefull! and it has nothing to do with the song or with liam or whatever. this simply goes to show you, that if a band which provided so many brilliant b-sides, puts out a single with 2 remixes, and f**king boring, uninspired b-sides (1 of them from marlin manson bass player WTF!?!?!) this is what theyll get back from the fans. in every interview noel says they have like 100 songs just lying around, so why the f**k should we pay money for this crap?! i reallyyy hope the band and the people at the label would not repet on this mistake again, otherwise next single is going lower (cause the only reason IOT got to 12, is because the album is still at its last prime sellings)

If Oasis release Falling Down as a single, it will get nowhere.
They need The Turning, with huge promotion and regular airplay, for it to chart well.
Then again, is there a point in a third single if they do so badly?

Correct me if i'm wrong but I HIGHLY DOUBT TIOBI got to Number 1 because The Quiet Ones was on the single. Moaning vaginas.

I bought all 3 versions of the single...hands up who actually did but it?
To be fair tho I dont think singles matter anymore. Albums are cheap enough and if a fan who's not a hardcore fan wants the song they'll just buy the album hence DOYS re-charting at NO:25.
Like I say tho singles dont matter anymore. Look at Leona Lewis she's murdered Run and it's gone to NO:1!

"So you're saying it's Number 12 because of the crap b sides?"
No...read again what i wrote. the fact that they are crap bsides just doesnt add to the fact that they are UNORIGINAL bsides! unlike pass me down the wine and the quiet once. theres a lot more excitment in buying a single which has "never heard before" new songs, alot more value to that!
and comparing IOT to TIOBI is lazyness. obviously TIOBI is a better song and more #1 material unlike IOT which is more "TOP 5 single". IOT is no less better than WFL or SMC which others mentioned.

If everyone is that bothered by it. Go out and buy the single even if u already have, and whilst ur at it buy a copy for ur Mam or ur Brother. Then when u get home download it off itunes. Tell ur workmates and ur mates down the pub to buy it.
stop been so bothered about what b sides are on it!
That should push it up the charts.

"It doesnt matter what B Sides are on a single I dont think...if someone like the song and they dont want the album they'll buy the single" Are there any people like that left? i believe that if someone likes the song and they dont want the album they'll download it..and if they cant theyll ask a friend to burn it for them or something. probably 99% of the "oasis single market costumers" ( ) are fans, not people who just buy singles, its not 1995....

is there any evidence that the turning will be released? I came to the [not scientific] conclusion that my 7" vinyl box set can only accomodate 4 vinyls and with the two from I'm Outta Time, there's already 3 in there. Deductive reasoning suggests only one more single.

The will probably be a 3rd single release next year. Oasis are on tour until July so they will need something to keep them on the radio and MTV. July is quite far ahead, so maybe Oasis will pull 2 x singles from Dig Out You Soul. I agree that Noel usually has a single sung by him Next single - 'Waiting For The Rapture'

to be fair 12th is disappointing but according to what someone else said, its already jumped 159 places on radio 1. with that kind of massive increase either theres been a huge error in the charts or the song will continue to rise.
and sword, if noel is going to release a song sung by him as a single, im pretty sure it's gonna be falling down. its classic noel.

I puzzled over a question, according to this: DOYS #1 on Itunes UK, came back in chart at #25 £3.95 at iTunes (though for a limited time), and £3,00 for the download version from Amazon. IOT #1 on the physicals chart. (the last time I saw was around )#84 at iTunes
could it mean because of the album and no new bside, bring down the IOT sales?

oasis are top of the physical sales chart but its downloads that sell these days an oasis could be faced with the fact they may never get a number 1 again in the current climate.but it would also help if people knew that the fuckin single was actually out!!the promotion is the worst ive ever seen in the uk,complete bollocks which shows the band arent interested in sales anymore.the fact theres no b-sides has nothing to do with it,oasis fans tend to buy what ever they release to add to the collection.sotsog had some brilliant bsides but no fucker bought them singles, why woulod they bother wasting the songs these days anyway when singles arent selling??

Whatever way you try and slice it -- number 12 is a fucking appalling result.

I am disappointed that the song failed to reach even the top 10 in the UK, but I've firgured that this song will be one of the most popular Oasis songs in the future. A song that bands in the future and music critics will look back on with a smile. A true epic.
I can see it now, 10 years down the road, this song will still be heard and music trivia fanatics will be saying things like 'can you believe that this song wasn't a top 10 hit in the UK despite its popularity?'
Give it some time, guys. That's all I'll say. There's still a chance that the song will rise in the charts considering that it's the holiday season, and this song sounds like a Winter Holiday song.

I'd love you to be right mate but I suspect not. The public won't think of it as anything more than a Liam as Lennon-wannabe tune. It won't even be as well regarded as Songbird.

the reasons that iot missedd the top 10: no b-sides(the only reason for every oasisfan to buy the singles..which made all singles climb into top3/no1) the cheap doys at the moment...itsdamn cheap at itunes......and in physical terms....the people do REALLY think, when they heard iot and find it good, to buy the album or the rubbish singleedition for not much less.....so the good albumsales at the moment ARE the conclusion of the new single which most of the peple really like
and its obvious that the albums climbing is due to the quality of the single...better for them to sell more of the album than another no1 hit, which sells 10 thousand in the 1st week and 16 ...hehe....in the 2nd week
