I like it, really fits the mood of a song well I think. You can kinda picture a person just sitting by themselves in the woods kinda whispering the lyrics of the song to themself.

Good video, but I still think Songbird is Liam's best song. I think the video is even better than this one.

The video surprised me, love the song so the video isnt too bad to go along with it. Its weird seeing Liam dressed like Clint Eastwood though, the way hes miming is odd but obviously meant to be that way.
Thought tons of colour might suddenly happen on the end chorus but they kept with the black and white. Was expecting a bit more but a decent somber type video for this song.

I think it's absolutely brilliant.
Beautiful imagery and Liam looks really cool but very enigmatic at the same time.
One of their best videos and pisses all over TIOBI which I really can't stand.

Is it just me, or does Liam kinda reminds you of Clint Eastwood's "Man with no name" in this? He looks more like Franco Nero in Django, with the record player replacing the coffin and machine gun. Django was of course inspired by the Clint Eastwood "Dollar" movies.

I have to say.... this video is gash. The black & white makes the whole thing seem cold and remote (especially with Liam on his own in what's seemingly the setting for a fucking kid's TV series - there's none of the band rockin' out/larking about you got with The Hindu Times or Wonderwall videos). Liam barely opening his mouth to perform the lyrics looks fucking odd. This song ain't gonna make it to No. 1, especially with no decent B-sides and an underwhelming video like this.

Agree with you on the B-sides thing but personally I think this video will go down well.
It's a bit different and really suits the song. You can't have a video that shows the band rocking out to IOT, it just wouldn't work.
The video's like a surreal dream. I think it's gorgeous.

Agree with you on the rocking out - I suppose I meant that any sense of FUN or ENJOYMENT is just entirely absent. It's not a depressing song, but the video is a bit joyless. If it was in colour maybe it would seem better. And if Liam opened his bloody mouth a bit. That whispering looks shit.

This song ain't gonna make it to No. 1, especially with no decent B-sides and an underwhelming video like this. Everyone seems to forget that barely anyone else releases single with b-sides on them, so this not having b-sides wont affect it that much.

Really good video, was just waiting for Lee Van Cleef to come for a showdown!! Would have liked the rest of the band involved though, hopefully they will for Falling Down...

Maybe it were the b-sides that got their previous singles to No. 1? Well, I don't think I'd go that far. But then a lot of those songs were more "immediate" tunes and obvious hits (TIOBI for example - the video for which was ace, I have to disgaree with you there manwithnoname). The DOYS tunes are not such obvious hits/singles and could do with a boost; if the lack of immediacy doesn't excite the general public then the lack of B-sides doesn't excite the fanbase.

Not sounding like my dad but is this 'no b sides on singles' a new thing ?
The only singles i ever buy are ones from Oasis, havent bought a single from another band in over 10 years (normally just get albums).
I presume with digital downloads etc record companies dont bother so much with b sides ? Shame.

i think it's brilliant...the owl..the butterflies... some of the simplest things...the water..wind blowing...and yes, the world's largest cowboy.... all in black and white... the "lone ranger?" ..no one there in the large (but small) world, but himself?? something to ponder on, definately.

Great video. Fantastic imagery and the black & white adds a lot to the atmosphere this time round (I've disliked it in the past). Can't wait to get a god quality version.
