How are they tell us they have songs of the next album and a crazy catalog of non-released song and NOT give us any true b-sides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Argh  |

obviously they're trying to save the tunes for the next two records.. way too fucking lazy. i like andy and gem's tunes so why don't they put one of theirs on ? and there are still tracks left over from 2000-onwards that are more than likely not going to be on the next record so just put em out.
as well what happened to the days of someone telling noel to write a bside and he went out and wrote the likes of acquiesce and the masterplan? id prefer a severe shit storm to hearing a soulless version of one of their recently released tracks.
on another note, i think the cover to the single is brilliant. they've really had fabulous artwork for this album.

The sad thing is with these singles is that there's no money to made from them anymore, the real money is made from touring which is why their doing so many gigs now and that fucks me off. I would rather less gigs and more new tunes but it's highly unlikely to happen.

I agree, all of the big money comes from touring, but I don't think having lots of gigs vs lots of new songs is mutually exclusive. I'd hope they wouldn't have too much trouble adding even a single demo from something years ago. They obviously have tons of stuff kicking around. But the Neon Neon remix could be cool, and I always remind myself that we've heard Record Machine, STC and BWTB in the past year--that's pretty cool. Still, I haven't even received my Shock of the Lightning single in the mail and its been a month. The online store wont even reply to my emails I've been sending them...Bitches! lol. This certainly discourages me from ordering from them again.

Its about time people got real...the cd single is a dead format...hardly any stores sell them...why would a band waste good songs which would effectively only be heard by a few people.....we have already got 2 new songs outside the album (IBIA and TBWTB) and some alternative versions are great WFTR for example ......my main question though is why release the single through the website as preorders that then can't count towards the chart  ?  |
