Is everyone still enjoying the album?
It's a decent album, but I still think DBTT is better in comparison.
I know nobody cares to hear negative feelings about anything Oasis do, but this album just seems like its losing its bearings and will be remembered as an album compiled with mostly average songs that all have signature parts pinched from other songs.

I know nobody cares to hear negative feelings about anything Oasis do, I dunno, HC seems to come in for a deserved (IMO) hammering on here pretty regularly. Obviously it's all personal preference, I think DOYS is a much better collection than DBTT, if only for the reason that DOYS has got balls (in Bag it Up, The Turning etc) whereas DBTT is mostly bland, innocuous and doesn't really excite me at all. DOYS isn't perfect but at least it's a rockin' step in the right direction of where the band should be going.

I like it, I think is a more strong album as a whole, compared to DBTT, which was more "songy". I still think that 'til track number 8 is a damn good album, but the last three tracks aren't at the same level.

Definitely a better album as a whole. But any album can get boring if u play it 4,000 times. Even WTSMG and DM get boring after too many listens in my opinion. If you switch up the albums you would appreciate DOYS more. No negative feelings here either.

Is everyone still enjoying the album? . Fuck YEAH! I love the way how Ive discovered new bits in all of the songs. Seems like every week or so, I fall in love with a diff. tune off the album, and then fall in love with it again weeks later on. Great album and far superior to SOME of the trax of the previous albums.

It'll be remembered as a strong album, with better songs in the first half.

I'm still enjoying it. I do take breaks from it though. When all is said and done, I think DOYS will be remembered as a very good album. Not on the level of DM or MG but about as close as we'll ever get from Oasis these days.

I still enjoy it. I'm not playing it 1000x a day but it's nearing two months since the album leaked - playing it that many times for that long will make the album become old very quickly. I agree that there are a lot of kool-aid drinkers on here, but I don't think DOYS is average. To me it's the freshest, creative, most interesting thing Oasis has done in a while.

it's a very good album, don't know if it's better than DBTT, i'd say it's just as good though, i really REALLY liked Don't Believe the Truth so...

As an album its better than DBTT but DBTT flows better if that makes any sense. DOYS is still my favorite album of the year is huge. I listen to it maybe 5 times a week now rather than about 5 times a day like the first month haha. The first 8 songs rival the first two albums in my opinion. Its got that true oasis swagger in there and it has some of the best songs Noel has ever written on there and they don't just sounds like other Oasis anthems. No previous song that he has written sounds like Bag It Up, The Turning (you can argue this one), or Falling Down. Noel is more focused than he has ever been and that can't be a bad thing I look forward to the next release but more importantly I look forward to blasting DOYS in the car, in the house and making memories with the songs.

The Turning is their best song since Champagne Supernova.
That alone makes me love this album.

I disagree. Tracks one to seven are among the best tracks post 2000. Every time I put them on they sound as fresh as the first time I heard them - and I've heard the album a lot.

Great way to put it.. honeymoom period..
anyway..
I found that i thrashed it so much after the intial leak / since its come out, that now i want to listen to it less and less..
BUT, thats not to say that i no longer like it... i still really enjoy the album, when i put it on i realise just how good it is..
anyone find themselves in a similar situation?
First 3 tracks are just that good!!

In the scheme of things, the last 2 albums have been very enjoyable to me in regards to other bands in the last 3-4 years. Are they better than Oasis early output? No but who ever was between 94-97 or even at any other time in Rock history?! Only a few bands.
Half of HC and most of all DBTT & DOYS are exremely enjoyable to me so I am definitely liking it.
Most of the other bands that I like to even sniff the charts or sell big anyway.

Quite ironic that you say that whilst bigging up DOYS, which, many would argue, goes right downhill after Falling Down.

DBTT has a handful of songs that are stunning on their own (The Importance Of Being Idle, Turn Up The Sun, Let There Be Love) but DOYS is better as a whole album. It only has one weak track IMO (The Nature Of Reality) whilst DBTT has several weak tracks (Mucky Fingers, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, Keep The Dream Alive, A Bell Will Ring)

The Turning is their best song since Champagne Supernova. That alone makes me love this album. Agreed. The Turning is simply amazing. Best song since their mid 90s stuff - best song of theirs for over 10 years. It's just a complete amazing song.....RM will be too if they record it properly when they release it. But wow, the Turning is just incredible. Everything about it is just awesome.
