It is a truely great album, I can put it on at any time and get right into it.....the drumming and production are the best on any Oasis album ever and the songs are much stronger than DBTT ;D

The turning is the best oasis song in years. I'm not saying that because everyone else is saying it. But it is a quintessential, defining Oasis song. It deserves the mentioning of Live Forever, Rock 'n Roll Star, Morning Glory, DLIBA. It is on that level. its such a great, loud, fun rock 'n roll star. My girlfriend and I were blasting the album last night while we drove around Miami Beach.
Waiting for the Rapture has grown on me a lot.
I think this album is kick ass. Bottom line. Falling Down, albeit a great song, is a little too much of a downer on the album. Maybe if that was the album closer, I'd like it more. Don't get me wrong, I love the song. But I think it's slightly depressing for the uplifting, upbeat rock the album brings. If that had been the closer, as opposed to Soldier On, and then throw in something else, the album would be even better.
SOldier On is a shit closer. Still hasn't grown on me. People need to stop hating on the Nature of Reality and Where there's Life. Where there's life is fucking cool!

It's a fantastic album for me. Better than the other big releases that i was excited about which came out in a similar period (DOYS >>>> OBTN >>>> 3rd).
Probably my 2nd favourite Oasis album right now behind DM. And yes, The Turning is a fantastic song. As are Bag it UP, TSOTL, Falling Down and I'm Outta Time.
Even Ain't Got Nothin has grown on me, and Soldier on for the last couple of minutes has the best piece of music on the album. The long, stomping beat and Harmonica solo are so fucking cool.
If ony RM and the Alt Version on Waiting for the Rapture had been included and I would be able to give this album a 9/10, for me though, because of NOR and TBWTL the album rests at 8.5/10.

I've never said that I don't enjoy it. ENJOY is a pretty neutral word.
What I've had a problem with is that it's just not really that good. And it's not like I'm waiting for a masterpiece or something. I just wanna hear some good tunes. If the whole album were more like the first half it'd definitely be mega. But the problem is that the second half gets boring and it's not so great.
Hmmmmm. I don't know. I'm waiting to deliver my findings until 1 December. That's the magic date

DBTT has a handful of songs that are stunning on their own (The Importance Of Being Idle, Turn Up The Sun, Let There Be Love) but DOYS is better as a whole album. It only has one weak track IMO (The Nature Of Reality) whilst DBTT has several weak tracks (Mucky Fingers, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, Keep The Dream Alive, A Bell Will Ring) I disagree that GGTIA and TNOR are "weak tracks. GGTIA is probably my second favorite song off DBTT and is still probably my favorite liam tune but to each his own right TT is seriously amazing. Its so oasis but yet its fresh.
