The Turning and Falling down, (w/ Outta Time and Bag It Up following) are the best songs on the album.
They leave off the Turning? Come on; fookin' sort it out mates...

He only sings well when he wants to.He's never been in better shape. He doesn't smoke as much, nor drink as much. He's even jogging??!!!! He sang really well when I saw him in Ottawa and I was shocked how well he sang. When he can't be bothered or he's in one of his moods,he just doesn't give a shit.

noel was even doing backing vocals on SONGBIRD ffs... a song that liam nails 99.9% of the time... what does that tell you? ? Noel's been doing backing vox on songbird this whole tour. And, btw, I think it's quite cool.

yeah its actually made it sound mint. tho noel does overstep sometimes.
funny it sounds like liams stuck between a bit of his old voice and his new voice. voice cracks:P

I did not see it live but have been watching the proper quality you tube vids and I dont think he was that of except for IOT(which is to bad because he seems to have nailed it at the other shows) Other than that there were rough spots but overall not bad at all?
I dont get the people who say they look bored or not enough banter or moving around? When has it ever been different at an Oasis show? Not to mention what Noel went through a month ago.
I think it is down to bad scheduling as clearly Liam is not what he was and needs more of a rest( you can say thats not very Rock n Roll but it's reality). To schedule this broadcast in a big arena after coming off Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham and some of those being back to back, he clearly needs the time. He has to strain night in and night out to get over the guitars not to mention the noise in the stadiums.
I actually think the cheifs backing vocals are to loud on TSOTL!!

The cut version of MTV Live (which I think is the one which will air around the World, one hour long, but dunno if every country does his cut) aired tonight in Italy. Tracklist:
R'n'R Star Lyla TSOTL Cigs&Alcohol Meaning of Soul To Be Where There's Life Waiting for the Rapture The Masterplan Songbird
And here it ended. Tossers. Then they went to commercial and after that, a selection of videoclip (DLBIA, Stand By Me (fucking top class video), Little by Little (love Liam in it), Lyla).

I think the live version of To Be Where There's Life is fucking immense. I like that it's a virtual duet with a loud Noel harmony/counter part, just so powerful. Makes Noel and Liam's vocals on the DOYS version sound like muddy and fuzzy shit. Liam's live vocal (especially the Dig Out Your Soooouuuullll) is sharp as a razor blade.
Why the studio version wasn't recorded with a more live feel instead of them fucking about with studio effects and sitars is beyond me.

I spent £140 on my standing ticket which I bought on Ebay and don´t regret it. This was my first Oasis gig in England and I must say I was a bit disappointed with the crowd.
While I was in the queue waiting for a beer I asked couple of guys around me what is their favourite song from new album. Would you believe that some of them replied that they haven´t heard it yet? They were there just because of Wonderwall and all other classics.
During intro of Supersonic I started to jump and some couple behind me told me to stop it, just because they were recording that song with mobile. How fuckin unbelievable is that?
I´m just wondering why do these so-called fans buy tickets if they are not really into it.
Apart from that I think the gig was brilliant and I enjoyed every second of it.

BEST gig i've been to on thursday. Got there late, heard the first song so went through the first gate i saw (didnt get stopped), went through and it was the side of the stage ! 10 metres in front of me were the wives of the band etc, so close to the band on stage, amazing view.
Then realised we were standing next to Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics ! Top bloke, had a photo with him and a quick chat. Amazing gig, best one ive been to, amazing view !

It was a nice gig IMO... The new songs sound awesome (except IOT) and the question about Noel's sheet was finally answered... (clearly TBWTL lyrics)... Liam's voice is indeed fading but I wouldn't say this is the last tour... they can still put up quite a good show even with his voice all fucked up.... And I was just noticing how amazing guitarist Gem is.... his arranges in The Masterplan and I'm Outta Time are outstanding, he really brought a lot to the band.....

Bit strange though that you got to the side of the stage without being stopped, especially since the V-Festival attack (or couldn't you jump on stage if you wanted to?)

Yeah the sensible part of me thought 'this is bad, i could be a complete nutter' as the lack of security was shocking.
I say 10 metres, there was a huge great gap between where we were and the stage, it wasnt like i could walk across but it was very close. So sorry probably worded it wrong, we were in the seats right at the side of the stage (10 metres away) but there was a huge gap in the middle ! Not like we could walk across.
But very very close, was superb seeing it that close up and Kelly Jones, top bloke !!

I just saw the MTV show this evening, I dont know what happened but on the show the crowd looked dead and you could hardly heat Liam. But I was there in the middle of the crowd, the people around me and in front of me we buzzin. I dont know why the crowd looked dead on TV because that's not how it was! also you could clearly hear Liam's voice. I dont understand.
