ok FTM is better... but there is not a big difference... especially considering that the wembley gig has different sound (bigger place)... I understand when you said that is not the same voice... but What the hell?? he sounded great... I don't really understand why everybody still bashing liam voice... I just said what is the point of saying all the same things again and again... ?

To Be Where There's Life sounded fucking mega. For the life of me, I can't understand why they chose not to add guitar to the album version. The mind boggles.

masterplan was the one for me Yeah, you're right. If only because I just realised that Liam fucked up the ending of To Be Where There's Life. It was still mega, though.

I can't understand why they picked Wembley for the live broadcast as opposed to the London rehearsels that were posted here in another thread? They sounded great on that whereas Wembley much like a large festival is hard to get a good recording.
He actually has been singing IOT really surprisingly well if you check out the last few shows but once again why choose to broadcast when he has had to sing for several nights in a row? He clearly has throat issues and does much better w a proper break.

I loved the gig! We can say what we like about liams vocals cause thats always an issue with people! I personally dont give a fuck if he didnt sing a line! For me the comin together of the band was the thing that struck me! They all worked 2gether and delivered an outstandin performance! Gone are the days of just half heartedly whittlin through the setlist 2 make a sharp exit! I felt as if the lads were 100% into wembley and really wanted to make it special! I tell you who deserves a mega bit of credit in my eyes...Jay Darlington! Did u hear his organ and piano playin? Amazin! Chris done himself proud on the drumkit 2 i might add! He must have been shittin himself! I was thinkin halfway into Lyla when he was gettin a bit sloppy, he was toilin, but he pulled himself right back onto the stool! Nice 1 lads! I cant wait 4 Murrayfield! Again!

All just re-affirmed what I thought when I saw them in Sheffield: new songs sound good live (but not appreciated enough, hence my last point) especially Falling Down, but leaving out Bag It Up and The Turning is criminal. Too many mid-paced songs in the middle of the set, Liam's voice aint great, and too many people turn up to Oasis gigs to sing Wonderwall and fuck off.

i went to the gig tonight and i thought it was fairly average. the cowd were fuckin shit!!!!! Liverpool looked a 100 times better. Highlights of the night were Masterplan and Slide Away. Liam sounded ok but no where near like say finsbury park 2002. thought the overall sound was a bit low as well, not the best gig to do an MTV broadcast i must say.

just got back from the gig . . .
honestly though it was great . . .
IOT wasnt as good as the video from sheffield on youtube Falling Down was fuckin awesome, definetely a masterpiece DLBIA (semi-accoustic) beautifully anthemic and quite a different version musically
Funny when Noel said hello to the MTV audience and the crowd booed.
Overall an awesome gig, crowd were loud as usual and not as downbeat as some of you are making out but not the best crowd i've seen I sang every song at the top of my voice so couldnt been that quiet...haha
Shame they didnt play MBM

to be honest what is wrong with OASIS ? Why are they playing supersonic so far down the order of the set list why don't they just end the gig which this song lol I can't believe how Noel contradicts himself he has said on many occations supersonic is to kick off a gig. The new songs sound good i just think it's time they drop some songs no more lyla... meaning of soul ....and if they are going to play I'm outa time make sure it's pretty much high in the set list 5th before liams voice goes. BAG IT UP i can't believe this is not getting played live to me this is like not playing morning glory or don't look back in anger for such a massive amazing great tune to be not played i wonder what there thinking

As with Liverpool the band seemed a bit bored, there wasn't much energy on the stage and pretty much zero banter apart from the boos for MTV which was pretty funny and I liked Liam's 'This is the best fucking number three record you'll ever hear' comment before TSOTL.
Noel in particular looks bored out of his brain most of the time, just wish he would get into it a bit more. The crowd weren't nearly as good as at Liverpool though - they stopped pogoing well early, the lightweights!
Compared to recent standards I didn't think Liam's voice was all that bad, apart from on I'm Outta Time which was a bit embarrassing, truth be told. Clearly Pro Tools were involved in the studio for that one.
Of the new songs, To Be Where There's Life sounded really good, although the 1min 30 sec outro was a bit cock rock for me. Falling Down is good too but on the whole they just don't really measure up to the back catalogue.
Can't believe MTV cut out DLBIA and I Am The Walrus but they are wankers so what do you expect.

They're musicians, not fucking stand-up comedians.
If the tunes sound good, they can say literally fuck all for all I care.

Clearly Liam wasn't in his best shape...expecially in the second part of the show, his voice clearly had some problems (he butchered IOT). But, hey, who cares.

To be honest I was never so pissed off watching a gig. It had it's moments but a lot of the energy is gone and it's very disappointing! The solo at the end of Supersonic is boring. Remember when Noel used to go mental when playing that solo (picture FTM). The same can be said for C&A.

I thought it was brilliant. The musicanship from Noel was arguably the best he has ever played. Basic songs seem to take on a new life. Chris looks established on the drums and Andy and Gem are tight and great. Oasis last night looked a far cry from their last tour. They seemed to actually enjoy it. Some of Noels guitar playing was for me the best i have seen him do. No klidding!! Oasis just looked a more musical band than previous tours. I really was impressed. The stage design was also impressive. Oasis have definitley gone for it on this tour. Basic songs like Songbird, Meaning of Soul, Lyla worked very well. Waiting For The Rapture, Rock N' Roll Star, Supersonic, Masterplan were stunning. Liam was ok. Not bad. Im Out a Time sounds better on cd. But it was ok. A damn good gig to watch on tv. I really was impressed. Far better than other Oasis shows i have seen on tv over the last 14 years or so. The only negative comment i have is the crowd. Very static in places and didn't seem to get involved. Strange! Damn good show though!!!

the set list is also a massive problem i'm sorry to be so negative i could go on heaps about the positives but i really want them to look at a few things.
What people say about noel yeah it's so at times he looks so bored but i guess in the early days he was younger fitter and on coke and loved every min now it's not so important.
At the end of the day his mad his money he doesnt need to prove anything anymore
