HC is abominable. Its Oasis for mums. Terrible album. DOYS has weak tracks. Give it time and ull see
Nature of Reality-Apparantly a song about Andys divorce. Having heard it I know why. He wrote her a love song. AInt got Nothing-A demo they tossed on to replace Come On Its Alright

no one would be saying anything if Aint Got Nothing was replaced with something else. shit song, i still have no idea why it's on this record, it would be 10/10 if anything else was on it

Another WUM wank thread. Yes DOYS has a weak track on it, as does Sgt Pepper (within you without you), Revolver (Good Day Sunshine is bobbins), Beggars Banquet (factory girl) etc etc.. Every great artist has the odd weak track on even the best albums.
By the way, can somebody give me the weak tracks on DM & WTSMG

I actually really enjoy the second half of DOYS. I agree...I think AGN and TNOR are the 'weakest' tracks I guess...but they're not filler. I really think DOYS is the best album since WTS...without question. I'll be honest...I'm really really impressed by what the boys did here.

I love HC =\ i dont see why ppl slate it =\ me too. i think its a great album. for me, it only has two weak tracks (hung in a bad place and probably all in the mind)...you may say that better man its not a great track though, but the album its good... it has some classic tunes, hindu times, stop crying your heart out, songbird, little by little...and other nice tunes, like she is love and force of nature.... i think that time will tell us if doys is really one of the best albuns from oasis or not...the hype is always an influence for anyone's opinion i bet a lot of people who say that hc is not a great album were thrilled when it was released

You're a joke. All those have weak tracks. WHERE are the weak tracks on DM? even DD is a good tune MG has none at all and the quirky song on there is She's Electric I would say DOYS is the first album for a while with no totally weak tracks you cant be serious? DM - digsy's dinner and married with children are shit. MG - hello, roll with it, hey now and she's electric = poor to decent and DOYS: aint got nothing is shit, and waiting for the rapture is so so. and there's others that most people dont like

Ive always considered it to be far worse than all the other Oasis albums... but for some reason the album clicked with me a little bit more this morning. I still think its their worst... but I dont think its that far behind DBTT to be honest. The problem with it is that theres too many "average" songs... and Ive always felt that the bsides were forgettable, with the exception of Shout It Out Loud

The Hindu Times is good. I guess Ive always preferred the demo tho... the final version sounds like the band was trying to recreate a track in the vein of Supersonic, Cigs and Alc, Roll With It, Go Let It Out, etc. Its still good tho.
I love the verses of Force of Nature tbh. But the chorus is one of the worst choruses in Oasis' discography. This in itself instantly makes the song mediocre. Maybe a Liam vocal would have improved it a little bit?
Hung in a Bad Place is decent, but it kinda sounds too much like Gem was trying really hard to write another "Oasis rocker"... and the ending result is too much like Bring It On Down and the like
Stop Crying Your Heart Out is fantastic, but its just a small step below the epic Oasis classics from the first few albums. I still consider it to be Noels best song since 2000 however.
I enjoy Songbird... altho not as much as some people. I dont really see how some people can still consider it Liams best song... Id say that Liam has written at least 5 songs better than this one. Its a good song tho, Liams best on the album.
Little By Little is good... sounds a little bit forced tho. Seems as tho Noel was trying really hard to write a "new" DLBIA, but instead writes something similar to WDIAGW (which is a great song nonetheless). I think Noel does a good job with this song tho... not sure if Liam could have done a better vocal on this particular song.
A Quick Peep isnt terrible.... actually its an enjoyable little instrumental. But is it really necessary on the album? I think not... it wouldve made a better bside.
Probably All in the Mind isnt as bad as some people make it out to be... but it does seem that Noel was trying very hard to write a Rubber Soul/Revolver sounding track... and the results arent fantastic. Itd make a good bside... but as an album track it doesnt quite cut it.
I actually enjoy She is Love... altho it probably shouldnt have been released as a single. Its a good song imo, one of Noels better solo acoustic tracks.
Born on a Different Cloud is too long, the melody is average, and Liams voice definitely has sounded better. The production is fantastic however, and for some reason... the song has gotten better as more and more time passes by. I used to instantly skip it... but now Ive found myself enjoying it quite a bit more. However, Id still consider it Liams weakest on the album.
Better Man as a song is decent. Id even say that its either the 5th or 6th best song on the album. However, it drags on a little bit, and reallllllly shouldnt have closed the album. Had it not been the last track, I think people would be a lot more open minded about it. I think its a pretty solid rocker tho, and holds up as a song. Too bad they put it as the last track tho...
And Ive prolly listened to The Cage only 2 or 3 times. Never done much for me, not sure why they even included it to be honest.
And as for the bsides... I find all of them to be relatively boring except for Shout It Out Loud. I consider that to be one of Oasis' top 3 bsides since The Masterplan album came out.

Are you serious? Are you just not counting SOTSOG? I mean I'd understand if you aren't because it's so horrid... Shit logo and for the most part a shit album, it's not an album just tracks thrown together. If you don't like DOYS I think you just haven't been able to musically mature the way Oasis has... it's different, the same way that Please Please Me is completely different than Revolver or Sgt. Peppers....

look the tracks are obviously not perfect but they are pretty damn good.
and for all those people who go on about DM, MG, and so on, i'd listen to the nature of reality or ain't got nothin' more often than married with children or hey now!

Your getting on Oasis for trying to make a song like Cigs and Alch, GLIO??? Whats wrong with that?

I don't understand why Heathen Chemistry is so hated. It's a fucking brilliant album (better than DBTT by a mile)
Now, with respect to the newest record I must agree. It is HARD TO GET THROUGH. Stopping at Falling Down is exactly what I'm talking about - except more like High Horse, because that song sad. Worst Oasis song of all time? Probably.....

Tracks 1 - 4 ("Bag It Up" to "The Shock of the Lightning") are no problem to get through, all in which are very nice songs (#4 being my album favorite). But after that there are these up-and-down, sure and not sure moments on the album. For me, I can't bring myself to think anymore of "I'm Outta Time" as just another average Liam tune (bring on the rants). I've kinda grown a bit tired of Track #6, "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady," even though it's still a decent, semi-instrumental Noel bit. "Falling Down" sort of brings the album back to it's full status with great Noel vocals and a superb mixing job, and "To Be Where There's Life" also keeps the bar level with continuing that "eerie" feel, even though it seems to get a little tedious during the final minute. And to me, after that the album, I guess you can say, slumps with more Liam fillers and an okay "The Nature of Reality" by Andy that is worth a couple of good listens but really nothing more.

DOYS is a great album apart from:
TSOTL - underwhelming tune. Still waiting for the chrus to arrive. AGN - As said above, if it had been taken off who would miss it? TNOR - Urrrrrrrgh... SKIP.

Well, this is what I dont get. If you rate all their records, one has to be in at nr. 7 - but does that mean the given record is shit? In my opinion HC is their "worst" record even though it has some great tunes on it. On DOYS, however, I think its hard to point out the obvious singles. But as a whole, its much better than HC and DBTT.
