Another album...another shitty RS review. By all accounts, this is a better album than DBTT, yet they gave DBTT 3.5 stars and DOYS 2.5 In typical fashion the review rips the band and doesn't even talk about the songs. What do they want? Oasis make rock music, no more no less. Go wank it to Myley Cyrus and the Jonas brothers a bit more! Oh ya, I fully expected this.

Who cares, loads are giving the band a backlash after what many see as a return to form on DBTT...........but this album is a Massive step forward to that.......to give it 2.5 is madness the first five songs alone are worth that!!!

rolling stone is no longer a relevant music magazine it covers pop culture and politics and is only into whats hip at the moment or selling loads of records , plus they have always hated oasis the only time they covered oasis with any kinda normal coverage was around 95-96 and thats when they where the new big thing , thats all they are into whats hot at the moment

I really thought it was going to be DBTT...and that received one of the most back-handed 3 1/2 star reviews I've ever read. Interestingly enough, I think this 2 1/2 star affair finally ended that near obsession. Simply a ridiculous "critique" by any reasonable measure.

Post some comments on the RS comment section. Sorry but what did oasis do to RS??? Their credibility has been exposed.
I wish their was a way to blockade a website or something.
I will never go to RS again. that is a promise.
DOYS is a abrilliant album and for them to dismiss it like that shows that they have a deep seated hatred for oasis.
Karma..

Unless this review was a 4-5 star review, this album was not going to make people that don't buy Oasis cd's buy it.
I'm more please that the NME (Oasis's own country magazine) gave it an 8/10.
This album is a 3.5-4, so RS is off a full star but w/ so many reviews out there now and all being personal opinions, I'm not sure why we care.
If DM & MG never existed I think all of their albums would get at least a half star more but those 2 first albums were so mega everything gets compared.
When Billboard comes out we'll see what they say.

i agree every album they released has been a great album by anyones standard WITHOUT dm and mg looming in the background.. when you made 2 classic albums like that and were haled to replace the beatles, you are gonna pay for it later on.

so they them slag for the beatles thing then compliment them for outta time a song that has a sample of a lennon interview in the song this confirms it for me they have no clue at all and dislike this band for the sake of it i mean how do you rip them for there love of the beatles then praise the song that has lennon on it

Poorly written, badly researched, layered with the cliches that come with every Oasis review (ex: "Beatles rip offs"). I can't take this review seriously enough to be bothered by it.

Sad but true is that American geek music reviewers don't like Oasis perceived attitude and they can't get past it. They've never gotten the humor and fun in the bands cocky attitude. Which is weird because they give the most entertaining interviews around. Have you tried to read an interview with Coldplay? My god I can't even get through them, so boring. The bed wetting music geeks have no sense of humor. Oasis is one of the few bands that tries to keep a sense of rock and roll star. They speak big and they never, ever, say anything woe is me. That's part of the fun.
Also, Considering the place rock music is in right now you'd think people would rejoice when Oasis released a real rock n roll record. And objectively this record is at LEAST a 3.5 our of 5. Of course i haven't read Rolling Stone in forever (who has?). Jonas Brothers on the cover?! Please. It's still bizarre though, I really don't get it.

Hilarious. GENERIC? ? It's funny they get on them for not abandoning the old stuff, yet they do something new but it's STILLLLL fucking generic!? They are so in love with Radiohead its mind boggling. Hope that whole magazine goes under

haha they gave the killer's sam's town 2/5 stars cause they left behind that 80's music for some americana rock n roll. sadly they went back to the 80's on the new single.
