Amazing song. It deserves its own Appreciation thread. Liam has managed to write perhaps the best song on the album. Its a tear jerker! Gives you goosebumps, The Lennon quote at the end fits in very nicely and doesnt mess with the groove of the song, which I was affraid it might. The end gets me everytime, being a bigger Beatle fan than Oasis fan, The Lennon sample is great, pretty sad too. RIP John! And GREAT Job Liam!

Totally. Awesome song. Kind of Travis-y one, but a lovely ballad.

It's good, but I think you guys are blowing it up a little bit. It sounds like a remarkably well-produced version of Born On A Different Cloud to me.

It's good, but I think you guys are blowing it up a little bit. It sounds like a remarkably well-produced version of Born On A Different Cloud to me. cept BOADC was boring, repetitive, had terrible vocals, stupid lyrics, and a mediocre melody honestly, I think I'm Outta Time is the best song Oasis has put out since BHN probably. It's already entered the ranks as one of my top 5 favorite Oasis songs... along with DYKWIM, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, and Morning Glory.

Its certainly Liams best effort to date. Songbird is great, but its extremly simple, not that thats bad because it works, but this seems to be one of Liams first songs thats longer than 3 mins.........And its his first song that sounds Epic

I don't get this song's hype - not a bad tune, but it's only an average song on this album. Sort of kills the whole vibe the first part of the album builds...
This will more than likely be the only song I regularly skip on this CD...

IMO - Aint Got Nothing is Liam's best song on the album...

The piano bit before the first chorus is from Jealous Guy isn't it?

honestly, I think I'm Outta Time is the best song Oasis has put out since BHN probably. It's already entered the ranks as one of my top 5 favorite Oasis songs... along with DYKWIM, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, and Morning Glory. I think this is an example of "new material overreaction". So IOT is better than TIOBI? Or LAMB? Or Songbird? (a better tune, IMHO)? Or Gas Panic? Or SCYHO? Or GLIO? I can't see it myself. It's a pretty good track. But that's it. If Liam had bothered to write another verse for it it might feel more like a proper song, and not the usual half-baked, half-written Liam material. He writes two verses at most, then the chorus, then just goes lalalalalalalalala through the rest of the song.

AND THE TURNING IS JUST AS GOOD!!!!!111!!! yes i think IOT>TIOBI... which I consider to be the most overrated Oasis track in the history of the band yes I think IOT>LAMB... LAMB is a great song but I think IOT is a bit better Songbird is far simpler than IOT... and ive always felt that Songbird was pretty overrated as well. Its a good tune, but I cant believe people think songbird is still the best tune Liams ever written. SCYHO is a fantastic song, but Ive always felt that it needed a little bit more. Its got one of the best choruses in history, but the verses are "only" decent and it just lacks an epic outro/bridge in my opinion. Gas Panic was arguably my favorite Oasis track since BHN before IOT came out... but who knows, maybe I'll decide that Gas Panic is a better song after a few more months. Fact is if Noel wrote I'm Outta Time, people would be going absolutely fucking insane. The fact that the song credit says "Liam Gallagher" automatically means that some fans are gonna immediately dismiss the tune before giving it a chance.

This song is amazing the whole song is amaing that it in the middle where it changes (1.40) is great but liams voice is out of this world at makes the song 10/10.

Just for reference, I think these songs since BHN are better than IOT: Where Did It All Go Wrong Sunday Morning Call Roll It Over Little By Little Mucky Fingers Love Like A Bomb Let There Be Love No way are those better than Outta Time..

Mucky fingers could be the worst song ever. Its horrible. Roll it over starts great and fades fast. Sunday morning call is nowhere in outta times league. Period. End of story.

No. The fact is that if Noel wrote this, it probably wouldn't make the album. The whole reason this song gets the praise it does is because Liam wrote it and when he writes anything decent, it gets blown into greatness territory. If Liam would have written LTBL, God help us all. It would have been proclaimed the next Let It Be. It would have saved the world. Plus, if Noel would have written IOT, the lyrics would have been so much better it wouldn't even be funny. People's reaction to IOT is definitely because it's new . . .
