hummmm. in wich part? I read the book, but in portuguese, so I can not remembre a part that looks like that! By the way.. Shakespeare rocks! i forget the exact quote, but it's when claudius sees the play hamlet puts on and runs around shouting "give me a light!!!" I'm with the book in my hands... As soon As I find it I will tell you.. I found the part of Give me a light......... OH HERE WE ARE.... Yeah.. The king CLaudio is almost praying for a light after the part that shows an actor representing what Claudio did... I dont' have the english book, but with the portuguese one I think that I understand what you wanted to say! It's good to do the comparison between songs and Books.. I love to do that! I found an abstract of Platon Repuclic ina a robbie WIlliams Prhase.. even thinking that he never read the book!

I know that it might have a lot of hidden meanings.. but I can not understand what is write... I'm Brazilian... Here We speak portuguese... so I want somebody to translate... or just to put the meaning.. For example.. in I'm The Walrus I can realize what is a Walrus. (Walrus is an animal), even knowing that it might have a lot of different meanings.. But I have problems to see what BAG IT UP mean, in normal days, and in the song! not the hide meaning Well heebie jeebies = fear, and in the context of the song "bag it up" is referring to putting that fear to rest (well at least that's my interpretation of it). Since Noel says its about drugs/his trippy experiences...I magine it to be about a kind of drug house like in Pulp fiction.....the hidden bag being the stash of drugs (heebie jeebies = drugs = fears) ...what ever their desires can be bagged up by the dealer!!

Lyrics to I'm Outta Time :
La la la la la x 4
Here's a song It reminds me of when we were young Looking back at all the things we've done You gotta keep on keepin' on
Out to sea Is the only place I am asleep Can get myself some piece of mind You know it's getting hard to fly
If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind the law Because If I am to go In my heart you grow And that's where you belong
If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind the law Because If I am to go In my heart you grow And that's where you belong
If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind the law Because If I am to go In my heart you grow And that's where you belong
Yes I'm out of time I'm out of time I'm out of time I'm out of time I'm out of time

Some corrections I made (in bold)... and I put the Lennon speech sample at the end. Lyrics to I'm Outta Time : La la la la la x 4 Here's a song It reminds me of when we were young Looking back at all the things we've done You gotta keep on keepin' on Out to sea Is the only place I honestlyCan get myself some piece of mind You know it's getting hard to fly If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind them allBecause If I am to go In my heart you grow And that's where you belong If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind them all Because If I am to go In my heart you grow And that's where you belong If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind them all Because If I am to go In my heart you grow And that's where you belong Guess I'm out of time I'm out of time I'm out of time I'm out of time I'm out of time "As Churchill said, 'It's Englishman's inalienable right to live where the hell he likes.' What's it going to do, vanish? It's not going to be there when I'll get back?"

To take a very intellectual point of on it. i can see what you're saying.. but i was listening to Stone Roses (album) while reading that book recently so i automatically associate that book with those songs. btw does anyone else hate it when liam sings "You gotta keep on keepin' on"? completely rots me. other than that great song

That keepin' on part reminds me of The Brady Bunch movie I'm glad I'm not the only one! I posted the exact same thought a couple days ago. Beautiful song cept that line sometimes gets that annoyingly addictive song stuck in my head.

'the nature of reality of reality, is pure subjective fantasy'. Its kind of like the philosophies of the party, reality only exists in the mind, and as the party controls all minds, it doesn't really exist.

I'll attempt The Boy With the Blues
You sing, you shout You turn the world around Yea we come all together for you You let me see The man I'm gonna be Yea we come all together for you
Remember to shine Let my love take you high You've nothing to lose You're just the boy with the blues
You take a vow Never to back down Yea we come all together for you And my dreams about To come true somehow Yea we come all together for you
Remember to shine Let my love take you high You've nothing to lose You're just the boy with the blues Remember to smile Let my love take you high I'm nothing to lose I'm just the boy with the blues Yeah
Come all together, come all together Come all together for you Come all together, come all together Come all together for you Come all together, come all together Come all together for you Come all together, come all together Come all together for you Come all together, come all together Come all together for you Come all together, come all together Come all together for you Come all together, come all together Come all together for you

and I Believe in All
I can take em all So I leave you with this thought There's a fire in the sky I don't need no alibi See I believe in all
And do you hear me when I say That I gotta walk this way There's a fire in the sky I don't need no alibi See I believe in all
And I-I-I will catch you when you fall That's what I'm gonna do And I-I-I will catch you if you call That's what I'm gonna do
I can see for miles And I can see you and your crimes There's a fire in the sky I don't need no alibi See I believe in all
Do you hear me when I say That I gotta walk this way There's a fire in the sky I don't need no alibi See I believe in all
And I-I-I will catch you when you fall That's what I'm gonna do And I-I-I will catch you if you call That's what I'm gonna do
(Liam hums in the background)

Bag it up is about drug experience isnt it? every lines refer to it.
I believe every song has meaning, but you can not translate it into something like a story.

"catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly" is taken from "Who breaks a butterfly upon a wheel" which is a quotation – sometimes misquoted with "on" in place of "upon" – from Alexander Pope's "Epistle to Dr Arbuthnot" of January 1735. The line has entered common use and has become associated with more recent figures.
**It can be taken as referring to putting massive effort into achieving something minor or unimportant, and alludes to "breaking on the wheel", a form of torture in which victims had their long bones broken by an iron bar while tied to a cartwheel.**

Rivers splash away the waves Seeping in through my existence Is there something to believe in? Something to believe in When there's nothing else To light your way? How can the darkness be satiated When there's nothing but faded stars? Faces cracked, broken to a crawl Do you believe in something? I believe in all In the way things could be I see That there is much more out there Much more than simply you and me Reaching out, my hands are shaking Groping, fighting the demons making Earth on the hell And with heaven watching They will prey On the ones who have lost their way (All, All, All) x 3 The night is deafening my call Something, anything I will believe in all (All, All, All) x6 I Believe In All, ladies and gentlemen...

anyone else hate it when liam sings "You gotta keep on keepin' on"? Ha, yeah. That line means literally NOTHING. ;D It's weak cliche definitely, but Lennon uses it in an ad-lib at the end of one of his songs off Walls n Bridges, Old Dirt Road, its probably a reference (unconscious or otherwise) to that.
