i support man utd and if a liverpool win helps us then i'll want a liverpool win. as for today i don't know what was worse the fact that liverpool were the better team for 3/4 of the match or that both the goals came from our errors. for all their possession liverpool didn't do much with it. We pressed and pressed and ye buckled under the pressure. I don't care what way we score as long as it's a goal. Our second goal wasn't too shabby at all. Ye played for 3 mins. We Played for 87. We deserved to win. If can't win the league, I hope Chelsea win it and I think they will. rubbish, until your 1st we were on top not just for 3 minutes

As a United fan I hope Liverpool loose every match Well thats how its supposed to be MG. Unless Man Utd winning has a substantial benefit to Liverpool I wont even consider supporting Man Utd and its the same the other way round. Five games in, the 6 point lead isnt beneficial. Ronaldo will come back, scare all of the lower teams into mercy and cut it down in a matter of weeks anyway. Man Utd fans shouldn't rue their errors too much. Dudek gifted Man Utd three wins, and the two most recent Man Utd wins have been through bad defending by us. Its our turn to have some luck. Man Utd's goal today was the best they've scored at Anfield for years and even that was down to poor defending by Mascherano.

I have to ask, Do all ye United fans skip past the "Who The Fuck Are Man United?" part when ye watch the Knebworth gig? It most be hard for ye?

if we have to rely on other teams to get results for us all the time, would we deserve to win the league overall??
Of course there will be exceptions, but unless its under extreme circumances i'm delighted when Liverpool drop any points at all.

I think it's strange that a Liverpool fan - his team looking closer to mounting a proper championship challenge now than they have in almost fifteen years - would prefer to see United beaten by the only team that's currently keeping them off top spot. A three point lead now could prove invaluable come the end of the season. But, as a professed United fan, I'd have thought you'd understand that. Oh, and to answer your original question - yes. These things have a way of balancing themselves out.

We were top this time last year with Man Utd and Chelsea struggling and look what happened in the end. Its September, nuff said. If Chelsea vs Man Utd was in late April then things would be different, but we are 5 games in not 35. Any sane Liverpool fan will tell you that as long as we challenge this year we are happy, when we get the squad depth we need to win the title things may be different. Based on Man Utd's form you look mid-table at best atm, but you'll be in the top two by the end of the season. About the poor defending comment, I was refering to the two previous 0-1 Anfield games. I am totally aware that you outplayed us in the last two Old Trafford games. Sorry for not making that clear.

Great result, 3 big points for our squad, who've had some hard time beating United over the past few years. YNWA

You fucking nicked that an'all. Sorry but thats our song mate. It's engraved in Liverpool folklore. It's written on our crest and it's carved beautifully on my back as I type. I'm not having anyone say that. Now Fuck Off.

Get your facts right mate. I hate it when people do that. No offence, mate, but if you're going to cite Wikipedia as a source then I'm not sure you're in any better a position to argue about such matters than I am.

If your so doubtful of my source instead of opening up your mouth and making stupid remarks about something you don't know anything about, I suggest instead you use your time more efficiently and find a source yourself (and then maybe we'll be able to have a decent arguement). Not only do I know it's OUR song it's the best football anthem ever. It's a perfect testament to the most passionate fans in club football.

It's a perfect testament to the most passionate fans in club football. You forgot to add the ™ symbol, mate. Don't get me wrong - you're fucking welcome to it. I'm just pointing out that Manchester United fans have a legitimate claim to having been the first to sing it on English football terraces. Not that it means a fucking thing to us now, mind - we just like saying it because it winds you lot up something rotten.
