First of all... that Kula Shaker record was released before Be Here Now... secondly, this type of riff not uncommon... no one's ripping it off, it's just a style of guitar playing.

you are all obssessed vaginas WTF? ? except for the 2 on the title and "wham ".... what fucking links of youtube did you posted here? what they have to do with the oasis's songs? that of REM, you've forced TOO MUCH. i dont even know what song of oasis it is. the same with the other ones bunch of mentals... 'Morning Glory' is a blatant rip-off of REM's 'The One I Love'. Nothing "forced" about the comparison. LOL fuckin' where?? where is the similarity? on that scream? "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelll" ? they are two absolutely different songs. absolutely i can find dozens of REM music more likely with otther songs (accidentaly, its obvious) than these two of course... when its noel's.. the song HAS to be ripped from somewhere..........

Are you deaf? The stolen riff kicks in at 25 seconds and is used throughout the whole song. I bet you can't see the similarity between 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' and T. Rex's 'Bang a Gong' either.

Lyla = Confrontation Camp by The Soundtrack of Our Lives is quite a rip tbh. I'd link but can't find a good version on youtube. I remember when TSOOL were supporting Oasis at MK Bowl in 2005, they started playing that and I couldn't believe the similarity between the songs.

Hindu Times has a close resemblance to the riff of Same Size Feet by the Stereophonics

Maybe we should start a separate thread for Oasis rip-offs. Green Day - BLVD. of Broken Dreams (the verse, not so much the chorus) would surely rank among the most blatant.

the riff in Lord Don't Slow Me Down is also pretty much the same as Confrontation Camp. everybody knows this Wonderwall rip by Travis. good song though. and they don't really try to hide it when they even say "wonderwall" in the lyrics. nl.youtube.com/watch?v=UeCcuH-EsuM

Yeh, Fran Healey admitted that Writing To Reach You was directly inspired by him playing the chords of Wonderwal. But did you ever notice that the end of the chorus of Sunday Morning Call (the 'It's OK, it's alright' part) sounds almost identical, even down to similar production sounds to 'I Love You Anyways' by Travis, from their debut LP Good Feeling. I think Noel 'borrowed' this back from them. Here's a live version, the part I'm referring to starts at about 1:25 nl.youtube.com/watch?v=vSWPufQYZpU
