Now that the dust has settled and the hype has died down about the leaks, and you have had time to listen to them enough, how would you rank them today?
I Wanna Live A Dream In a Record Machine
I was so excited to see this leaked as it was the biggest song I was anticipating at the time (the honour now goes to Soldier On). Well I really like the song, but it leaves me wanting far more. It has gotten to the point where I'm finding the first 2 and a half minutes boring and I don't really tune in until the solo. I think I'm longing for the 2 more guitar solos, the 6 more minutes of the song and Liam's backing vocals to hear this song's potential.
So for now I rate this song pretty good but if you were to rank it an overall list, this version would probably just be able to break a top 40 at the very best, but thats really pushing it.
Stop The Clocks
I never anticipated this song as much as the typical Oasis fan but I was pleased to see it leak. Well once again it is a good song, a lot like its descriptions. The Zanzibar version is great as well and I can't decide which I like better, but I still feel the song has more potential, making it longer and cleaning it up a bit and more electric.
Like Record Machine, I'm left wanting more and this would probably not crack my top 40 either.
They Got Nothin on Me, They Got Nothin On You
The song everyone loves to hate. Well I love to love it. Singing out shalalalala. Whoops lol. Well again I am Liam and wall of sound biased so of course I will like this song. I love the power of it and the orchestra. I feel obviously much more work needs to be done, but I think since I had no expectation at all for this song, I am not dissapointed. I find myself listening to this one the most.
This wouldn't crack my top 40 either, and I hate to say its my favourite of the 3, but the other 2 just left me wanted far too much more.

I still think Stop The Clocks was a major disappointment. After 5 years of hype and being declared the greatest Oasis song no one's ever heard, it ended up sounding like just another of Noel's acoustic B-sides. It was just, ordinary. Actually hoping it's not on DOYS in any shape or form....

Pretty spot on I think, SOOOO disappointed with Stop The Clocks - mainly cause of the buildup around it. Noel's singing style, while its great and technically excellent, is becoming a little boring and slow (see Little By Little and Let There Be Love). The first half of Record Machine is this way, until the melody really picks up. If Liam sings Record Machine, he'll make it so much better - shiiiiiiiiiiine.

i'd never heard eyeball tickler before, so I think it was umungst the best leaked. RM is second with Ain't got nothing as third then STC. I really like them all but I just like these demo in this order. I would imagine that fully complete versions of them all would be in a different arder. I am Liam and wall of sound biased so am I and i think that is why I like the song so much.

I love Record Machine, but I don't feel I can rank it since it's an unfinished song missing over half it's running time. STC is good but doesn't live up to the hype for me, but I think this version is extremely bare-bones compared to what it would be like as an album track. Finally, I am not too thrilled with NOM, I like the intro and relentless drumming, but the lyrics and vocals are below par.

The beauty of Stop The Clocks is that it doesn't go anywhere. I think it's brilliant.

Actually hoping it's not on DOYS in any shape or form.... The hype alone caused a lot of the apathy the song has now. There was no way that song would ever have lived up to it. If the song was "that good" as Noel claimed when the song was originally talked about, we would've heard it a lot sooner. I don't hate any of them, but the novelty "new-ness" of these songs wore off very quickly. They were scrapped for a reason and in hindsight, rightfully so. I wouldnt remove any tracks on DBTT for any of these. I'll reserve judgment on Nothing On Me until I hear what they've done with it on the new record as it is seemingly on there, but I don't hate it. IMO the best of these leaks is LDSMD with Liam on vocals.

record machine is brilliant IMO i remember when i first listened it, i just couldn't stop smiling when it got to the chorus, and the solo and that last part.. would sound even better in Liam's voice tough stop the clocks is good and that's it! was expecting more (as almost everybody) nothing on me actually grew on me.. the same thing happened with the meaning of soul! i hated it at first and then it started to sound better

They're good songs, with great potential. but they are too raw, and by now, I'm tired of them already.... please bring it on the new tunes...!

RM was initially my favorite, and i felt dissapointed with STC. However, as time went by, i actually began to dislike RM as it became more and more bland to me. On the flip side, STC began to REALLY REALLY grow on me. Now i can easily claim STC to be my fav of the three, behind RM and then NOM. BTW this: The beauty of Stop The Clocks is that it doesn't go anywhere. I think it's brilliant. is spot on.... i think its what Noel's intentions were also.

STC is brilliant but it's ruined by Noel's vocals. Liam needs to sing like, everything again.

I love everyone who thinks Liam's voice will magically turn some of these songs around. Noel's voice is so much better it isn't even funny. On 'heavier' songs like 'Nothin on Me' I usually agree. But on songs like STC, no chance.
Go list to LDSMD with Liam singing and with Noel singing. If you think Liam's version sounds better than please go check yourself in somewhere. STC with Liam singing would be a crime . . .

STC with Liam singing would be a crime . . . I generally agree with you. I prefer Noel's vocals on songs that are suited to him, however songs like LDSMD sound miles better with Liam. That's also probably the first and only time I've ever felt that way, as I would not want Liam on DLBIA or TIOBI (amongst others) but I do believe his vocals improve LDSMD which IMO was a pretty plodding song to begin with. STC is a boring song as it is now, and theres not much that could improve it other than an extreme overhaul and I don't think that even Liam's vocals provide that, nor do I think that sort of song would suit him or make it any better.

STC is definitely my favourite of the leaked tracks. It's never the best song Noel's ever written, but it is easily one of the best songs he's wrote in the last few years. Also worth bearing in mind that there's loads of demos of this floating around, so it's unlikely we've heard what the band considers the best version.
RM is good but doesn't really work for me in its stripped down form, I can understand why this was left off DBTT as this version really doesn't do it justice. I'm hoping we get a studio release of this at some point because it has a lot of potential (bonus track on DOYS perhaps?)
Nothing on me is average, never really been a fan of it. Hopefully it's reworked if it's on the new album. It would also help if Liam sang it properly rather than sneering his way through it, part of the problem with it is that his vocals are so bad on the demo.

I first heard the leaked version of the new songs a couple of weeks ago:
I Wanna Live In A Dream (In My Record Machine) is my favorite of the bunch so far! It really is an amazing song, and there's endless possibilities with the last verse/outro of it! If they get Liam on vox and stretch out that bit a few minutes, then there is a huge possibility that this will become my favorite song!
I think Stop The Clocks is amazing! It gets better by each listen. Noels vox is beautiful, and it really sounds like The La's Looking Glass part. 2. I would really like to hear Liam on vocals on it to!
I see that Ain't Got Nothing is not among the most popular Oasis songs on the forum here. I think it is really good! I usually love all of the songs Liam has written, and this is no exception! I think it's better than The Meaning Of Soul. Now, if they could only clean up the vocals, make a little longer, and perhaps make it a bit more heavier...
As for the other leaked songs, Lord Don't Slow Me Down with Liam on vox is my favorite of the other songs so far! I actually prefer the version with Liam most, because he adds that extra rawness to it! Second is Love Like A Bomb, which I think is really good! Especially the guitar parts after the piano solo!

All you people who love Eyball Tickler should listen to Jet's "Take It Or Leave" than you can all shut up about a dull arsed rip off that shoulodnt have been a B-side in the first place.
Stop The Clocks is fucking brilliant, I actually connected with that song on an emotional level. However I wouldnt mind hearing what Liam could bring to the song, and I would LOVE a proper studio version!
