How can you not like this tune?
I can't wait for the final version of this tune. This and Record Machine - both demos are so good that you have to believe we'll be literally blown away by the final versions. And BOTH will appear on the new album, I don;t believe these idiots who claim to have inside knowledge, or the Kasabian singer. What the fuck do they know? Only Noel, Liam, Gem, and Andy know.
This album is gonna be so fucking good. I'm in tears just thinking about it

If both songs appear on the album, and if both songs are improved, then it's already deserving of album of the year, in my opinion. Those two songs are THAT good.

the lyrics are beautiful. some of noels best and obviously very personal to him, describing the intense pain of a failed relationship, knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but wondering if he can make it there (but if im already dead how would i know)

HS, i wouldn't get your hopes up that stc will be way improved, or even changed very much at all. It very well could be, but if this is the version that was planned for release on DBTT, then they may decide to not change anything at all

STC is one of those songs that could change dramatically depending on how it is handled in the studio. The current version is a good song but a bit sparse for me. The introduction of violins for example, or a big guitar sound could alter the song significantly.

To be honest of the two I probably prefer the Zanzibar one, the demo seems a bit bland and that horn gets ridiculously annoying after you've heard it a few times. |

the truly great oasis song are both durable and addictive.
that said, you feel like hearing them all the time and are amazed at how fast they've past when you are in the process of listening to them.
For me at least STC doesn't have that like some of the previus classics (or for that matter like Record Machine, which is always over far to fast!!)...it kind of plods a bit...that said, it would make a great b-side for the first single.
