Hopefully this is just The Sun capitalizing on the recent attention on Oasis due to the demo leak. If it's true though, it's a shame. Zak gives the band a huge addition in their live sets with his pounding, Bonham-esque sound.

Honestly, Oasis had two of the best rock drummers - first in Whitey then in Zak Starkey.
What could possibly have gone wrong to make Noel and Zak fight to the point where Zak leaves?? I wonder if it had anything to do with him splitting his time between Oasis and the Who? Possibly the fact that he won't dedicate himself completely to Oasis?
Who could they ever get to replace Zak? They sure won't get Alan back. That ship has sailed.
A good choice for replacement, IMO might be Loz Colbert (former Ride drummer). He'd be great!

to be honest, this upsets me b/c it could possibly delay the album, but i never really that impressed with zak. Maybe i'm just not a musical expert, but it always seems like he played the same thing on every song.

If i remember correctly The Sun was also the paper that broke the story about Noel being killed in a car accident and the "new noel" was a cover up by Sony. I remember them comparing pictures of DM Noel versus WTSMG-BHN Noel. (not many will remember this story the was way back in the day) This was back in 99-00 i remember seeing the article that was before i found live4ever and was just going of off www.oasisnews.com. Whatever happened to that site it just stopped working one day. Every now and then i'll do a google search and get some old broken links from it. I'm not going to believe the Zack thing until i see Noel say he has goent he way of Tony and Alan. Also i was under the impression Alan was gone not from an argument but arthritis or carpol tunnle.

I have seen nme post so many stories and then pull them down it is not funny. After it happens you never hear about it again.
NME= Bandwagon (UK version of the Rolling Stone)
When Oasis is big NME/Rollingston is thier biggest fan, when thye are low NME/Rolling Stone bashes them. The band is aware of this and i remember an article about either Noel or Liam saying they did nto want tow ork with NME anymore. The article was posted here at some point.
p.s. Oasis has imo ever been low just not manufactured like these magazines prefer bands these days

alright..... NME just reposted the story...... I like Zak's drumming, its too bad that he will not be on tour with them this year. He adds a lot to the Oasis sound. Also, i hope that they will not have to re-record his tracks on the new album. Although it should not delay the release date of the album.

I bet the only reason why they reposted it was because of my last post about them doing that all the time. If oasis are not under a contract it could present a Tony Mcaroll issue again if Zack did drum on the new tracks though. I'm expert then again.

If he's gone, I hope they re-record his tracks. Sounds a bit weird to me, playing on the album and after it leaving. He will get lots of money for playing on the album.

TBH, Ive never seen Zak as a full time member of the band anyway.
He was always a bit of a "supersub" untill they decided to get someone permanent

Yeah, I hope they bring Alan back! He's an incredible drummer. My gut feeling says that they're going to bring Terry Kirkbride on board, though. my gut feeling is its the Sun! The newspaper who reported Liam had six toes on one foot!! ;D I always thought that was true and thats what the song little James was about. J/K

No one ever answered my one question why did Alan leave. I thought it was a medical thing. According to one of the stories floating around, when they were getting ready to go into the studio for DBTT, Alan had a vacation planned and didn't want to cancel it. So they let him go. In an interview with Q magazine Liam said something like "When the bat phone goes. you gotta answer it man"

If it's true, I'll bet Noel will be getting in touch with Whitey at least to get a feeler from him. You never know what could happen there. Whitey could be feeling the itch to go back on tour and play some music.
My money's on Kirkbride. He was mentioned as a possibility after Whitey got the boot, and it seems the deciding factor there was that Noel got to play with the son of a Beatle. I'll give 5-2 odds on Terry being on tour with the band come August.

Probably Kirkbride indeed. I remember Alan stating that he was sacked because he abadon the recording sessions to get some vacation with his family, and he was really upset with the band, cos' Noel and Liam already had their share of abandoning the group. Considering this I believe it's really hard for Alan to accept an invitation to return...

There seems to be 3 rumors surrounding whitey 1.) leaked HC - SACKED 2.) didn't bother coming to meetings - SACKED 3.) tendonities - LEFT on his own
I wish people would stop bringing up #1. I very much doubted he leaked the records, because surely he wants to maximize records sold for maximum profit..... #2 and #3 are very real posibilities though, so it's between those two imo
AND FOR FUCKS SAKE, AS FAR AS WE KNOW ZAK IS STILL WITH THE BAND
Again, you can't think for yourselves. Just follow what the oh-so-credible Sun says. baaaaaaah you fucking sheep

You all are idiots. Alan white left the band because he was more interested in his wife, moving to the US, and buying real estate/getting into other kinds of business. He was living outside Chicago where his wife is from, but who knows if they are even together still.
