OASIS 'LEAK' 7 May 2008 A number of old Oasis songs have appeared on the internet amidst claims that the band's new album has leaked. The songs are actually all old demos from previous sessions and well informed fans will have known that these tracks have been in circulation for some time. In fact, most are versions of songs that have already been released. None of the songs are from sessions for the band's new studio album. www.oasisinet.com/site.php?site=news&idx=799

Thanks for the head's up.
"Well informed fans will have known that these tracks have been in circulation for some time." Hmm, really? According to what I've heard, the demo CD wasn't even discovered until two weeks ago. And it was only about a month and a half ago that we realized a recording of Zanzibar even existed! I wonder who these well informed fans are?

They were apparently recorded in March and April 2004, and they are not demo's but the fruit of the recording sessions from then.

If they don't seemed that arsed, I suggest whoever has this demo CD gets some other tunes uploaded.
Seems funny though that they say they've been around for a while, yet all the links are getting removed pretty quick.

These are no way the Sardy recordings. They recorded 10 tracks with DIV, probably around the time I just mentioned, an educated guess tells me they were . . .
LLAB LDSMD STC TUTS IWLIADIMRM ET NOMNOY TMOS ABWR MF
The conspicious absence of Lyla, TIOBI, KTDA, POTQ and the reworked LTBL which were all written after the DIV sessions lend weight to this aspect too.

You're forgetting one key element. TMOS was electric at first. They did not go to an acoustic based song until they got with Sardy. This is mentioned on the Ear Is No Memory documentary that came with the DBTT disc. Secondly, they did not record that many of the songs with them that were released. They were only with them for 3-4 weeks. According to Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don't_Believe_the_Truth (yes not entirely reliable) the songs recorded were: Finally, I've spoken to the source of the leak myself. He has factually and without doubt stated these are from a early Sardy session. They're not DIV sessions. If you're going to use the absence of POTQ and Lyla to back your argument, well its safe to use the absence of a Mucky Fingers demo to back up the case for them not being DIV. The date on the disc (January 5, 2005) also points to it being far more likely a Sardy session.

I said ten tracks, and the quote you just posted says that too! (the ones mentioned are in my guess of a list too)
Good point on the MOS demo though, you're probably right then.

Did that source mention other unreleased tracks about to leak ? AFAIK, there are no more. There are rumors of more, but nothing substantiated.

Hmm, I was hardly arguing with anyone. No not at all, I merely was refuting your post and called it an argument. An argument doesn't have to be vicious to be an argument.

I don't believe that these are the DIV session, but Noel said himself that the vesion of Mucky Fingers on the album is the demo, and that it was never re-recorded. The band say that after DIV Noel was producing himself, until Sardy was brought in to mix. Could these not be from these sessions at Wheeler End?

weren't they leaked as DBTT demos? Why on earth would we think they were off the new album? Its very interesting that Inet responsed, they usally ingore things like this.

They responded coz the mirror and the nme sutpidly hint they are recordings from the new album.
As for the debate, i alos think they are Sardy's demos. The guitar, the piano and the drums sound are close to what was done on LTBL or GGTIA.

Wonder what he feels about it?

this statement sounds mighty familiar......in fact, is it just me, or can i hear someone tapping on the table in the background of the recording?
