Only because the DIV Thread is incredibly long

You can hear Looking Glass influence so clearly in it. How he does the vocals, especially singing the "Oooover" and the "whoaoaoaoaoa" part
and the repeating of "sound" at the end
I can see why Noel has taken this song so seriously.
I know this is a demo, but even if it's the final version, I would be VERY pleased.
And if this song does indeed set the tone for the 2008 album (surely we have to expect it on the album now), then this album is indeed going to be monumental

And this might be it.

By the way, the new songs are leaking from the DBTT sessions or from the new album?

Listening to it i can see how Noel would listen to this version of STC and not want to release it. It does feel as if it is missing something, you can't put your finger on what though. If i were a betting man i would bet the alblum version will be much different from what we have in our hands today.
I was not someone who really got wrapped up in the STC debate but now that i have heard it i think it's good. Although this version of STC would rank really low on my list of favorite Oasis tunes. I'm trying to keep in mind that it is only a demo but after the expectations i have built up for this alblum becasue all of the hush hush it is hard to believe that the final cuts could be that different from these demo's.
Nothing on me - seems like meaning of souls little brother hate to say it but i'm going to put it with little james, meaning of soul and hope i think i know.
Record Machine - I could see this one being huge. Perhaps this is the one with the chior and all? I can see this one being played behind commercials on tv like all around the world is for AT&T. If this version is close to the final i can see it being a favoirte for oasis fans but i don't think it will get much air play or get much attention from anyone but oasis fans.
I just needed to get those mixed emotions out of my system to see if anyone else feels the same way. Fromt his point forward i will reserve judgment until i have the Noel approved final product in my hand.

A bit disappointing. I'll reserve final judgment until we hear a proper studio version, 'cause I'd like to hear it a little more electrified and both versions seem to be lacking something, although I prefer the naked guitar interludes after the verses better in the Zanzibar version.
"Sound-sound-sound-sound" at 4:05 sounds fucking retarded.
The outro on the demo version is the best part of the whole damn song, and I hope they stretch the hell out of it if they ever release it and run off for ten minutes into some trippy Champagne Supernova territory.
I agree with NYR from the other thread... the hype killed it.

Anybody got the chords? I think it may end in an Am, but i'm not sure. Sounds like it would be fun to play on an acoustic, so someone who's good at this, post the chords!!

Oh, and "I wanna live a dream"... fucking Mega. Beats the hell outta STC, IMHO (as far as the versions we have go).

I'll reserve final judgment until we hear a proper studio version, 'cause I'd like to hear it a little more electrified and both versions seem to be lacking something same here. the vocals are excellent though. i'm not a fan of wonderwall and live forever but what made them so appealing to the masses is they're anthemic. and STC (of course only knowing it in that rough form) isn't..

Listening to the STC demo a few times i feel it shouldn't be acoustic at all and i also think that Liam should sing with a bit of an echo in the background.
Think the rolling electric guitar sound of Champagne Supernova and the backwards guitar of The Masterplan would be perfect plus some harmonica during the 1:29 - 1:40 parts would make the song epic and brilliant in my opinion.
This is only a demo though so they will probably make some big changes to the song if indeed it ever makes an apperance on a future Oasis record.
