It's obvious from the kind of music he's written that he's not going to like Oasis... they're two different styles.

Keith actually died 20 years ago, but the chemicals have kept the body going all this time.

Maybe because he only listens to soup operas on the radio like in the 20s when he was 30.
Seriously, at least he said he has listened to one song. Wonder what that was.

Keith Richards is a legend. Definitely. Not a surprising thought from Keith, he grew up listening to a different kind of music, too pasionate and in love with it to appreciate the music that's being made nowadays. Same happens with everyone on this forum so don't know why the reaction from some of you lol

I know, same with me or everyone else here I bet. What I was trying to say is that his fave music and heroes are from the time he was young and this happens with all of us as well, you hardly look up to people who are your age, let alone people a lot younger than you.

I don't look up to anyone. I respect everyone the same, including myself. That may sound egotistical or not egotiscal but it's the way I feel.

I don't look up to anyone. I respect everyone the same, including myself. As persons you might. But musically? seriously? You respect The Beatles as much as you respect Good Charlotte?

Now you're talkng about 'things'. We've covered 'people'. Should we discuss 'places' now ?

Musically I like the Beatles more than Good Charlotte, dur. I was trying to say I don't have a hero worship towards anyone, musically or personally.

Personally I hate it when bands from other eras claim to like newer bands because you know they're just lying to pretend to be 'down with the kids'.
Hopefully in twenty years time Noel will be slagging off every new band that comes along.
You know Liam will be.

I think Keith is a legend,
i think his band is still relevant live cause it sells all the god damn tickets every night,
i think i don't give a fuck about what he likes and what he dislikes.

Good music is good music whether it comes from 50 years from now or 50 years ago. That's what was good about John Peel- he was 65 and still discovering new artists. The Stones were good but they haven't done anything decent for well over a decade . I love teh way they keep on going but personally I wouldn't want to see them now.
Their name sake, Rollingstone magazine seems to be stuck in the 60's too- On the frontpage they have links to articles on Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Mariah Carey and Bruce Springsteen. They have always hated oasis too-funny that.
