That's going to be a long wait, man! Better hope they'll release a couple of singles before September then! Oh its not that bad! Atleast we're in the same year its going to be released. Looking forward now to a nice fall tour!

Now that they have been done and home for a week, when should we expect an announcement for the release?

If the album does come out in November, when would the first single be released?

If the album does come out in November, when would the first single be released? November? Don't you mean September. At least that's what Noel said. I just like to point out again, that this is just an guess from Noel, nothing official has been said yet. But at least we have a good idea of the release date.

Even considering future promotion, artwork and the like, it (september) just seems like an awfully long wait for an album near completion. Another rather substantial band called Coldplay are in a similar stage and no rumours put their release any further out then June.
How bout a "stunt" like the Racontoures just pulled: announcing the release of the album just a week in advance (theirs is out next Tuesday). I guess I wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't out until Sep, but I like the chances of a Jul-Aug date better.

If Noel was to say that the album's due out in June he'd been running the risk of disappointing fans, as well as putting pressure on Universal. Much safer to go over the mark. I'm going for a June/July release.

You know what. I actually prefer the album to be released in either May or August. I think if they released it in the summer, I fear that the new album might be overlooked a bit. Not by fucking Coldplays new album, but by the fact that everyone is on vacation and stuff. Thinking about other things. I'd rather they release a single in the summer though. Perhaps going for a summer hit? I don't know... Just a thought.

But in the summer people are more likely to be off work/school, so they can then focus on music rather than other things.

But I'd like to say that Heathen Chemistry sold far less than Don't Believe The Truth did. And Heathen Chemistry was released in the summer. But maybe the reason for that was the fact that Don't Believe The Truth is a much better album than Heathen Chemistry?
