Ok I know I'm a newbie around here but I'd be up for whatever's planned, I've been obsessed with Oasis for years and there music is something truly like no other, no band has ever so effortlessly(in the early years anyway) put out so many great songs, so whatevers on the table, i'm there, i'd be a shame to see this idea die, but I wouldn't disagree with the fact that the gallaghers wont give a horses ass unless its something really unbelievable

Have you ever seen the interview where Noel pulls out his black AMEX card? Without us he wouldn't have one, nor would he be famous, we have supported them and brought Oasis to fame, without fans, how could anyone be famous? My point is, I think we've given enough.

That's a bit cold and disrespectful, imo. If you have a girlfriend/wife, do you buy her something on her birthday/Xmas? Or not, because you show her love every day of the year, so why appreciate her more then with a one-off gift? Also, if you met Noel or Liam, and asked for a photo or autograph, would you hope that they would agree, or not, because they have given you all the need to, through the music? They "owe" you nothing more.

That's a bit cold and disrespectful, imo. What?!!! "I've bought their cds, I don't owe them anything" - that, to me, is cold and disrespectful. Again, if you met them and asked for an autograph, would you accept them telling you where to go, or not?

I suppose a roast or something in the name of Noel or Liam would be good...

I once worked out that all the oasis concerts i have attended came to over £2000 UK pounds ($4000 USD). This includes travelling and hotels. Add the costs of all the music and rare box sets then you can add a few hundered pounds on to that. When i met Noel in Lyon in 2002 i received nothing but foul remarks and cocky behaviour. So frankly oasis have had their best out of me.

If they were cheeky, rude and horrible to fans, refused to even speak to any, then noone would complain about that, either, yeah?

I didn't mean "I've think we've given enough" in the sense that we shouldn't do anything, but in the sense that we constantly give, we buy albums, go to gigs, and make Noel and Liam the rock n' roll gods that they are, and we've done so for 14 years now, and we will continue to do it as long as they make music, we give enough

The money you spent on travel/food/drink/hotels etc DIDNT go to Noel, so it's a bit irrelevant. I'm surprised he was rude to you, to be honest, when I met him he was fantastic, really, really friendly and chatty with all the time in the world. Maybe he had a bad day, I dono. Anyway, from a personal viewpoint I still think I "owe" Noel Gallagher more than simply buying the official releases and going to gigs, due to the amount of pleasure his music has given me and the way it has helped me so much in my life.

I was also one of many who travelled from Manchester to Paris in 2000 for the Oasis show at the Bercy Arena, only to be told a few hours before the start of the show that Noel Gallagher had left the band and the show was cancelled.
Nice!
Perhaps oasis fans should be as selective on buying their cd's.
Oasis owe us nothing and we owe them nothing.
Wake up.

I lost a hell of a lot of money that time, too, because I didn't go to a gig that I had bought tickets for, paid for flights accomodation etc due to Noel not playing (I wasn't going to waste any more money watching an Oasis tribute band). If you think that they owe you nothing and you owe them nothing then fair enough, if you meet them one day, I hope you dont try and invade their personal space or ask for a photo with them, or anything like that. For me, I DO owe Noel Gallagher more, due to how his music has affected, influenced and motivated me. I guess it's all personal.

I just think this guy dreaming... Noel care about the fans?!?! I remember, during the HC tour, he said the only contact he wanted to have with us fans was through his amplifiers, beacuse most of them were just to strange or something... i mean, don't get me wrong i think the guy is a genius and all, but I'm certainly that Bono AND Chris Martin care much more about their fans! Actually I recall Noel complaining about fans that come to ask for autographs without a pen and a CD, I mean, he couldn't care less for what you do, he just want you not to take his time, go to their concerts and buy their cds

Seeing im on a role knocking oasis, i would just like to say that the official oasis site is awful. Most of the photos are out of date (some by 8 years!) and the news section is generally a week behind what the NME has announced. Care about the fans? I don't think so...

Bands aren't about fucking websites, they are about music, just because their website is slow, doesn't mean they don't care. Everyone in Oasis special in the sense that they don't sell out (come on, it was one AT&T commercial) and that they are about the music, Noel isn't one to be found online writing a memo to his fans or whatever, he's the guy out there making the music that allows him to say "we are the best in the world" Oasis has given us more than we deserve (or at least more than you do anyway)

Whats the point in a band connecting with it's fans when the website is awful. Go back to sleep you clown!!
