This event was great. I was thrilled to be among so many oasis fans, without a concert. The Documenatry was cool, lots of laughs. But this was my first time being that physically close to Noel. It was mindblowing. He was even insulting some of the pathetic quetions that some people had. He was quite funny in the interview.
Plus!!! You get to hear the new song "Lord Don't slow me Down", the whole song!! It's fuckin' rocks!!! It's straight out rock n' roll. I love it, can't wait till they release it.

Thanks for the update Joe, this is the first I've heard from someone who was at the NYC screening today. I knew Rolli was lying about STC playing in the movie.

I completely overlooked the idea of having a camera with me for pictures!! Pretty stupid, considering how close i was to him. I'm sure someone will post some pics, being that so many people were taking them. Some bad questions from the crowd. Noel was a trip, really funny. The film was really only moderately good. It did'nt go anywhere, but it was entertaining. Lot's of cool footage and funny moments. LIke i said, the song Lord Don't Slow Me Down is mega!
As for the song "stop the clocks", there was a bit in the film where Noel is playing something during what looks like a soundcheck, in an empty venue. I didn't know the song. It sounded good, but it definitely was'nt a song that we already know. It might have been an old one from another band, i could'nt tell. May this was Stop the Clocks?

Heh, I wouldn't expect the film to go anywhere but around the tour. Tour films rarely do. The only thing we're learning from this film is that Liam dances weird, smiles a lot, and the band play Frustration.

I'm serious Jilliam! I think u were wearin yer Brother shirt or sommat. It was so you! The movie was 95 mins long and it dragged on a bit. I think Familiar To Millions was 100x better because it was more coherent. LDSMD was just endless footage of them backstage and live...It really didn't give u a better impression of the band as human beings. It made Liam look like a baffoon, Noel an arrogant rockstar who's fame has gotten into his head and Gem & Andy as non-entities. The whole thing just seemed like an NYU film students midterm project imo.

Surely you're not going to take credit for declaring that the song 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' would be in the Oasis film called 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down'? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the chances of that happening were more than fair. Secondly, where was this second song then? No, that was her fault for posting her picture on a public forum. And not requesting that someone else doesn't re-use it. I'd like to know why Noel would play two new songs for one NY radio station, yet play 3 old ones for another NY radio station and a load of old songs in front of the bands fans. Sorry, but something stinks about all this, and you can't have a go at people for being cynical about it.

"He was even insulting some of the pathetic questions that some people had"
I was in the 2nd row, to Noels left and 6 of the 9 people I was with, including me, got to ask questions. They certainly weren't pathetic questions; Noel just didn't seem to be in the mood for giving a lot of thought to his answers. Here are some of those "pathetic" questions:
Who do you think are some of the great songwriters of today? When and how do you see Oasis coming to an end? What about "Be Here Now" don't you like; the songwriting, the production, etc. .? Who was more of an inspiration to your music: another artist or your mum?
Not bad questions at all in my opinion.

Oooh, there were a few terrible questions in there.
I recorded a few of Noel answers from the front row. I'll get em up shortly along with some pics.
Great to meet and get fairly drunk with you Webby. I had a massive hangover today.

It made Liam look like a baffoon, Noel an arrogant rockstar who's fame has gotten into his head and Gem & Andy as non-entities. The whole thing just seemed like an NYU film students midterm project imo. What did you honestly expect? This film was intended to be about their life on the road during the Don't Believe The Truth tour and nothing more. Was it a phenomenal film? No but if you went in hoping so then obviously you would be disappointed. I personally thought that it was an interesting documentary solely because it’s the first time we’ve seen how they are on the road. I agree that it dragged at times and feel that some scenes could have been cut out because they were completely pointless. For example, Phil the DJ/hanger-on and some other random guy discussing nonsense for about 3 minutes? I’ll pass. We as fans will never have "a better impression of the band as human beings" for the simple fact that they only show us what they want. This is also why their private life is never discussed on oasisinet.com because it's none of our business and they want to keep it that way. Liam was Liam and Noel was Noel, the same as they always are. They weren't about to bare their souls on the screen for us. Gem and Andy didn't join the band for fame and notoriety but for the music which might explain why they weren't prominent in the film. They have always been the quiet but important members and will continue to be. Finally, comparing Lord Don't Slow Me Down to Familiar To Millions is absolutely asinine as they are two completely different types of films. Of course Familiar To Millions was "more coherent", concerts usually are.

Did u get to shake Noel's hand btw? I do indeed remember. Um, I didn't get to shake his hand, but I patted him on the shoulder and said "Hey, Noel." And he looked at me and said "Alright." I was satisfied. Hey if I pop up in any of your pictures could you send them my way? Thanks a lot. Nice meeting you.

Of course Familiar To Millions was "more coherent", concerts usually are. I beg to differ. Now why would I compare the 2 films u ask? Let me see, BOTH are documentaries right? BOTH are about OASIS yes? Gee, I guess comparing 2 movies about OASIS is asinine because its like comparing 2 completely different genres and topics that have absolutely no relation to each other.
