I do indeed remember. Um, I didn't get to shake his hand, but I patted him on the shoulder and said "Hey, Noel." And he looked at me and said "Alright." I was satisfied. Hey if I pop up in any of your pictures could you send them my way? Thanks a lot. Nice meeting you. Nice to meet u too! I finally got the pix from MP1495 who so kindly let me borrow his digi cam and I dont see u in any of em. The pix werent that great coz Noel only wanted to take one foto with everybody, so, myself & 2 other people stood next to him while our respective "photographers" took 1 simultaenous pic. I'm just happy he finally decided to stand still for a few secs!

Finally, comparing Lord Don't Slow Me Down to Familiar To Millions is absolutely asinine as they are two completely different types of films. Of course Familiar To Millions was "more coherent", concerts usually are. I beg to differ. Now why would I compare the 2 films u ask? Let me see, BOTH are documentaries right? BOTH are about OASIS yes? Gee, I guess comparing 2 movies about OASIS is asinine because its like comparing 2 completely different genres and topics that have absolutely no relation to each other. I'd just like to add my 5 cents to the discussion : Familiar to Millions is a Huge Budget, Large Format , Multi Camera shoot and Lord Don't slow me Down did not have the budget for the larger camera formats or the number of time code locked cameras Familiar to Millions had availble for it's production. Sorry if I am getting technical but one needs to compare those facts as well....cheers

How is Familiar To Millions a documentary? Did you mean the Definitely Maybe DVD? If so then that was just a retrospective and not a "life on the road" piece.

Take for example a lot of the quality Indie films and the huge Hollywood blockbusters...U dont need money to make a quality film imo if the proper vision and execution is there.

Aside from the Chat portion, how much of that documentary had anything to do with the band? It was more about male fans making complete asses of themselves at the Wembley gig than anything else.

when was noel on a radio station period ? Music Choice? And the session he did for AOL. Radio station, TV station, Internet station, the point still stands - the report, which you put your name to, was that Noel had played Lord Don't Slow Me Down and Stop The Clocks in an acoustic set. Don't back out of that claim. Don't start backtracking now. When people said there would be two new songs in the movie, people expected two new songs, with vocals and all. People were cynical over this, and it looks as though they were right to.

Having not seen LDSMD yet (CMJ bastards never returned my e-mails!!), I'd say that it probably would work if the entire footage was culminating into something massive. Like, for instance, if the 96 tour had been done in Britain, it would've shown the progression from smaller arena shows into the massive outdoor shows at Loch Lomond and Knebworth in August. There would've been a massive buildup. Maybe if they could've built up the footage to reflect the MSG, Boston, Hollywood Bowl, Merriweather shows (the large U.S. shows) and the footage somehow reflected a change in the band. But then, I haven't seen it and don't know that it doesn't do all that. Are there interviews along the way dealing w/ how the band feel a change in perception in the US about them? There was such a change in the shows and perception of Oasis on the last sojourn thru the US that they really could've made something of it. Fans rushing the stage, Liam jumping into the crowds to greet the fans at the ends of gigs, MASSIVE crowds..the list goes on. Some reflection on that would be cool.

Do you have the one about the most Beatley sounding song he wrote? That was my question by the way. I was the loser who forgot to sit down after asking the question (I was nervous naturally). I think I met you at the Irish Pub, I know I met the Webmaster. Keeso I recorded a few of Noel answers from the front row. I'll get em up shortly along with some pics. Great to meet and get fairly drunk with you Webby. I had a massive hangover today.
