Just so you know Howard has been gone this week and last, that was best-of and was from a few years ago. Did you hear that song of Paul's that they played? F-cking appalling. I'm sure Paul is pissed because Noel said that whenever he writes and sings a song like Freedom they should take away a credit for Hey Jude or Let it Be. haha. Hopefully no one says that about our Noel someday! Howard was a big fan of Oasis back in the day but I doubt he follows them anymore.

Oh, and he didn't really say he hated Oasis or anything. Basically what he said was he kept getting asked about them over and over and over again so eventually he said, 'well they're a bit derivative aren't they'. I wouldn't expect a 60 year old man to be madferit anyway.

Paul who People who haven't had a hit in the last 40 years should shut the f*ck up. He's one of the Beatles and responsible for countless classic songs. As far as I'm concerned, he's earned the right to say whatever he wants. And it's not like what he said was all that bad. Noel and Liam have said way worse things about him, but they've earned the right to say what they want as well.

Paul who People who haven't had a hit in the last 40 years should shut the f*ck up. By the age of 30 , Paul McCartney had written more hits , classics , anthems than Noel & Liam will ever write in their entire life ! By the age of 30 , Paul ( & The Beatles ) had taken the world in his hand , shook it .... And changed forever codes in pop music , rock music , arts & clothes ( wait a minute...let me think about it...Oh yeah , Noel dresses like Paul ) .. Funnily , Liam used to say that he hated Paul 'cause he was the Beatle who was writing " romantic " stuffs for girls & farts !! 10 years later , Liam is writting at the age of 32 years old things like : Love Like A Bomb or Guess God Thinks I'm Abel ... Now all that to say that Paul & Oasis ( i love Oasis , don't get me wrong ) but they don't play in the same league .. So everyone is free to give is opinion but i think McCartney is the one speaking with knowledge & wisdom , while most of the time , when Liam opens his big mouth , the guy is sarcastic , ironic , bitter or out of tune ... Howard probably asked Paul about Oasis non being at the Live 8 or something like that ...

Well, I'm not so sure about that one, we should do a list and see if you're right, cause there are a lot of shit beatles songs, and not too many Oasis songs that aren't classics in my opinion.

People who slag Macca off are no better than people who slag Oasis off. It's such an easy, cool thing to do at the moment. Macca's an absolute genius, responsible for the some of the best songs ever written.

Yeah, responsible for exactly 25% of the greatest songs written by The Beatles. His contributions would have been nothing more than 'Yesterday' without George, Ringo, and especially John . Need proof check out his 'Wings'/solo stuff . Love the Beatles, but hate how people feel the need to defend/kiss Macca's arse as if he invented the f*cking wheel or something. Point is, people who haven't had a hit in the last 40 years should shut the f*ck up. ;D

Nothing more than Yesterday is that a wind up?? His contributions to the early pop days; I Saw Her Standing There, Love Me Do, All My Loving, And I Love Her, Eight Days A Week (credited by John to Paul) just to name a few. John may have been the more experimental, visionary writer - feedback on I Feel Fine, backtracking on Rain, Tomorrow Never Knows for example - but that doesn't mean McCartney didn't move on as well. Eleanor Rigby, Here, There and Everywhere, Good Day Sunshine, For No One and Got To Get You Into My Life is a pretty substantial and quality input to Revolver. Sgt Peppers, Fixing A Hole, She's Leaving Home, Lovely Rita from Peppers, I could go through the albums. Put that on top of his timeless singles like Let It Be, We Can Work It Out, Hey Jude, Penny Lane, Hello, Goodbye, Lady Madonna and Paperback Writer - on top of other classics like Helter Skelter - I think the bloke deserves a very tender, loving kiss on the cheeks ;D

Thanks for making my point for me again. People who haven't written a hit in 40 years should shut the f*ck up ;D Mull of kintyre platinium and most sales single in U.K of all time 1978 so less than 30 years Live & let die : 1973 , top 10 hit in UK and USA Has liam ever written a " hit " ? Songbird & love like a bomb are lovely summer song but they won't stand a chance in rock n roll history if you ever try to compare them to Macca songs

People that doubt about mcca´s songwriting and put em down, know shite about music. He is one of the best songwriters in music history. And he has more classics than Oasis,, that its not even an opinion,, thats a damn fact.
I love oasis,, but common..

Guys, for the last time. He didn't really even insult them! And this was said years ago. All he said was they are a bit derivative and they are of course! Oasis is not exactly an experimental band. So what are you all on about?? He didn't say they were rubbish or anything.

Haha yeah really what are we all getting so worked up about? Paul McCartney is arguably the greatest songwriter of all time, if he wants to state an opinion about Oasis that Noel and Liam would admit to in a second, what is the problem?

Look, people, you can't say he's a better songwriter just because he's had more "hits". Rappers also have hits. He's a classic, but Noel tops him all the way. Put Eleanor Rogby and Champagne Supernova togheter and see what's better, man, come on!!!!

it will be difficult to compare Eleanor Rogby and Champagne Supernova! just kidding ;D ;D ;D
both are great... they've both written lots of "hits" (i don't like the idea of a "hit"..)

The Beatles were a creation of a record company. Oasis is a creation of Noel Gallagher. At least Oasis writes their own songs. Alexander, Goffin, King, Dixon, Farrell, Bacharach, David, Williams, Marlow, Scott, Medley, Russel... oh and Lennon, McCartney. 14 people wrote the firsts Beatles record, and 12 of them weren't even in the band! What a joke! In 5 years, Noel did what it took Paul and John (and over a dozen other writters) 10 years to do.
Paul McCartney started off with a spark, but now he's just garbage.

Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time! No More Lonely Nights! What a disgrace!!! Those are his best songs after the Beatles. Pretty laughable.
