Hi all, you're all so lovely !!!
I'm just back from Manchester and i can proudly say that it has restored my faith in outdoor gigs, it was amazing !!!
Everyone was just having a good time and being friendly and stuff. We sat in the unreserved seating near the front when it started raining and ended up staying there because i had a great view and the people around us were a good crowd.
It was really weird because ive never been in a seat a stadium gig so it was really cool to be able to actually see the band and to look over all the fans going mental. Amazing sight it was !!! The full park was bouncing, so was everyone in the seating sections. It was so cool during DLBIA to see everyone going mad. I will always buy standing tickets for stadium gigs but this was a nice change.
I only saw one little bit of trouble and thats when security were taking one guy out, he slipped and fell and then his girlfriend ( i think ) started kicking him !!!
A couple of my fav bits were Noel on stage looking every inch the rock star saying " if anyone beside you falls, please pick them up.... other than that, go fucking nuts "
And they played Acquiesce which really made my night as its my fav song.
People of Manchester, i take my hat off to you, you've restored my faith !!!

I don't think it's fair to associate this with Glasgow though. At Murrayfield alot of shit happened, including some gang from Leeds attacking random fans near the stadium. At Finsbury Park trouble was brewing too and I was dodging piss bottles for the first hour. Even at Boston the other night there was a bit of tension around in places although not as apparent as what you describe at Hampden. To me Oasis attract a wide range of fans including some downright low-class tossers. I was at Finsbury and you could tell it was going to kick off but honestly mate, it was nothing compared to Hampden. Alot of the scum i saw seemed to be gangs from the local estates there to fight each other and cause trouble. I was at the night in SECC when Bonehead got hit too but i thought that was a good gig.... until they walked off of course.

Lisa, the place went mental when they played acquiesce, i cant believe they left it off in the first place.
I'll give you a text when we're near the stadium on saturday and we can have a beer.
( I am shattered with all this travelling around...but its worth it )

I know what Glasgow is like and i was fully expecting neds to be there but mate, a full on fist fight with around 15 people right next to me is not what i expected. Its not fair to blame it on Glasgow because for every arsehole pretend Oasis fan that was there, there were loads more proper Oasis fans that weren't there to cause trouble.
Glasgow audiences are usually brilliant but the idiots beside me were acting like fucking animals, even hitting woman, thats not on.

Can i saw i went machester on 2nd and while it was mental, i didnt meet any dickheads or anything nor did i see the guy whose face was bleeding (as mentioned in another thread) but i did find it rowdier than any other oasis gig ive been to. The best for me was earlier this year when i went columbiahalle in berlin which is tiny and indoors and was so much better than a stadium gig. Its a shame that in UK pissed up dicks think an oasis gig is there ticket to a mass brawl. Its a disgrace
