alot of u really mistook my review..i hold OASIS to a standard higher than any other band not named led zep- the stones -beatles-....it was a great gig..... BUT they could have did a bit more..both in length and in diversity.... FACE FACTS PEOPLE NYC IS DIFFERENT .... its the mecca of publicity and to play the same gig here is a bit sad...i am not comparibg them( as kings of leon said ) to the stones i dont want balloons...i just wanted a longer, more unrehearsed type show... those are shows that are legendary folks , not the same old same old ..people that post they cant believe i say this are not gettin it,,the concert was GREAT...IT SHOULDA BEEN LEGENDARY LED ZEP MSG 75 STONES 77 WHO 79 BRUCE 81 those were 3 plus hours of legend ..this was 95 minutes that i could havew heard on a cd...sorry guys its the truth

They won't spread their ass just because they play at the MSG. I see your point, they could've done an epic show if they wanted to, but that's the way they are, they do what everyone else should do: Treat everyone the same way. Just because a place gives you more hype and press you shouldn't be any different, that's pretentious. BTW, I'm the kind of person who would prefer a different setlist every night, but if they decided to play all gigs with the same set they should stick to it and that's what they did.

They've been using the same formula for years. Personally, I think the band need to break from their norm and change up the setlist every night.

BUT LONGER AND PLAYED WITH MORE PASSION WHO 81-SHEA STADIUM VAN HALEN-83 MSG BRUCE 84 BYRNE ARENA U2-87 BYRNE STONES 82 - MSG I COULD KEEP GOIN BUT U GET THE DRIFT ..THESE BANDS TO ME ARE NOT AS GOOD AS OASIS ( NOT EVEN THE STONES) BUT THEY SURE AS HELL EARNED THERE MONEY WAY MORE THAN OASIS " LIVE WISE"

i think kalas and idler both hit it on the head. from what i heard it was a great show, thats all it had to be. i dont think anyone in their right mind was expecting them to play fuckin boneheads bankholiday or anything they havent done before. they've never looked for public or financial gain by doing that and thats why i fuckin love them. leave all that smart marketing to bands like coldplay or the fu fighters. i would have been disapointed with oasis if they would have done that.
and kalas, shut the fuck up already. led zeppelin, the who, the beatles all sold out for what was wanted back then. the jam was a different story going back to 68 and reinventing what was happening then, but the other bands pah..fuckin bandwagon jumpers. get me those fuckin bellbottoms so i can be a fuckin hippy. bollocks

Let's be more pratical... what did you want them to do? 1) play for longer... well, they have another gig tomorrow. Liam can't kill his voice, it would be unprofessional. 2) play a new song (LTBL for example)... how do you think the fans from Detroit, Toronto and Chicago would feel? I don't think it would be worth it, "cheating" on the thousands of other fans to make the people who went to MSG feel more special. Any more suggestions?

Well, about Led Zeppelin playing over 3 hours....and believe me I'm a harcore Zep-fan....consider this...Moby Dick is a 15-20 minute DRUM solo; Whole Lotta Love usually included some Medley and tons of improv; and Dazed And Confused has that guitar bow thing for like 15 minutes!!!....the setlist wasn't THAT long... Would I like to see Oasis play for 3 hours?? Of course , but it will never happen...Liam and Liam's voice are the main reasons I think

What Kalas is trying to say is that he wants to see Liam jump around in spandex like Robert Plant ! but anyway i don't think Oasis really distinguish New York from any other North American gig. They are probably all the same to them. Maybe if they did a one off show then they'd be more enthusiastic. I guess the only time they will really get into it is when they play manchester and you're going to that so don't be too sad.

So they should play the 19 songs and then an acoustic set? I think it would be weird.

I don't think they can do a longer set, Liam's voice just can't handle it anymore. I would like to see the setlist changed every couple of nights and Noel's acoustic set brought back. I think the band should perform Wonderwall acoustically again, when I saw them last week I didn't understand why the played the electric version when they just played Songbird acoustically. Didn't make any sense to me.
