Sorry to start a thread about this, but I just managed to get tickets for the Festival Hall concert in Melbourne, Dec. 1st!!! It took me 12 minutes on my mobile but I don't care haha! I tried to book online but the site seemed like it had been overwhelmed so lucky enough I got tickets! I'm estatic.  Last time they toured I missed out because I was living overseas on exchange and I was devastated so I'm just so happy I can go this time. Hope everyone else had luck in buying them too. I was so stoked when the order was complete, just a massive sigh of relief! Can't wait!!!! I wonder who the support acts will be. I have a funny feeling they will bring the stands with them to promote their new album. Hopefully the pictures play as well, as they are my favourite aussie band and top blokes.

Same here. I am in Perth though so the ticketmaster only opened at 10.30am EST. I got one of the last 20 seats for 1st Dec. When did they decide to do a second date though?
I've never been to Melbourne before so would anybody like to meet up?

I'm in Perth as well. I got tickets for the Dec 1st show and they have released another show on the second and I have tickets for that as well ;D
Got about 15 of us all going over for a week so should be tops, I can't wait cause last time they came over for the Livid festival we went over and had a great time!
Can't fookin wait!!

Oh and I also probably have a few spares for the thursday night gig. Couldn't get enough tickets for the whole group that night and not everyone wants to go to both gigs. If anyone needs a few (think i have about 5) they are for sale at normal price $73 AUD  |

I'm in Brisbane and was going to goto both Sydney & Brisbane but a change in plans to visit a mate in Melbourne means I'm going their instead.
Never been to Melbourne before and am looking foward to it.

I spent a frantic 1/4 of an hour trying to get tickets for the Sydney show this morning, only to find out that as of 6:30pm tonight there are still tickets left and a second show has been added.
Maybe there aren't as many Oasis fans as I thought in Sydney.

What seats or section did u brisbane guys get?
I was there at 7am this morning outside ticketek on elizabeth street, and got tickets in general admission area 10...GA10!!! The chick behind the counter said they were front row tickets...but!!
Just been informed that fuckin nova had been givin away tickets across the phone: the deal is...1st caller: Nelly Tickets 2nd Caller: Oasis tickets 3rd: Michael Bolton
They have been giving away these tickets for the last few days apparently...and they are in a special vip area which is apparently front row!!! This is so fucked, coz we were waiting all morning for our tickets, and fckin teeny bopper geezers who want to go see 'Nelly' the twat, are most likely gettin Oasis tickets...and they probably havent even heard of OASIS!! Noel would be very disappointed, especially after his comments on hip hop recently
And a few months ago, I emailed Nova 106.9 seeing if they could play Lyla!! They emailed me back pretty much telling me to fuck off...and now, they are here sponsoring Oasis in brissie!! Like WTF!!
Plz help me abuse them!! How did u brissie ppl go with tickets

Brisbane has General Admission for the floor... there are no seats so therefore no front row. If you want the front you've just gotta push your way up there. Oh yeah.. Nah in brisbane the GA floor is actually divided up by barriers, you can push so far and no further. which sucks ass Brisbane has General Admission for the floor... there are no seats so therefore no front row. Shit hey... I didnt even look at that. Have quicky dug my receipt out and luckily it says area SVIP10... phew.... Festival Hall in Melbourne isnt like that is it? Got mine through ticketek... kept hitting refresh so I got in as soon as 9am rolled around. I reckon whoever served you simply fucked up (probably because she's stupid and didnt know herself there were 2 GA sections), there would have certainly been VIP tix at the time you were there. Man, I'd be gutted. I'd be ringing them and finding out why your tix arent the front when you were there 1st thing. Explain that you were there 1st thing @ 9am, that you were told they were front row/section and they are not. At that time there would have to have been VIP section tix still... in which case why would you chose shitty ones given the choice? You must have a record of the time you purchased them on a receipt.
We had a similar problem with Visa Preferred seating before and we kicked up a stink and they did something about it. Its worth a try.

yeah man, my friend 'sossman' actually bought the tickets, and the chick defs said that they were front row!!
I think the tickets have the tickets no. and time of purchase on them dont they...that could be proof that we were there early.
btw bearski what ticket no. is urs...ours is 433

I dont have my tix yet, only the online receipt/confirmation. But seriously. Take it up with them, they'll have a small allocation set aside of VIP tix still. If you cause enough of a stink they'll do it to shut you up. |
