I plan on recording Boston Tweeter Center on June 24.
Frisking? I'll give my device to the wife, they're less "frisky" with women in relation to body searches imo.
I'm quite far back at this gig, will that be a benefit or not? I mean, up way to close might give you a bit of a drone. (4th gig but 1st time trying to record you see)

anthmcc, when you do record it could you post it here? I'm going to the tweeter center as well, but I wouldn't have the balls to sneak any kind of tape recorder in... if they caught you, would they just confiscate the recorder, or would they revoke your tickets altogether? Does it depend on the country/venue?
I remember a few years ago hearing about them selling high-quality soundboarded CD's at the end of concerts (the same exact show attended, they had high-duping technology)... not at Oasis shows specifically, but at concerts in general... do they still do that? I would pay upwards of 30-40 bucks to get a high quality CD of the tweeter center gig on the way out, and I'm sure others would do the same.

(4th gig but 1st time trying to record you see) If you're in the pavillion, you should be able to get decent sound. The ideal sections are 1 & 3 where you've got a few speakers on the side. I've taped shows from the lawn with good mics and the sound has come out nice. But alot of it depends on location

I'm gonna try and do the Tweeter Gig anyhow. I mean, if they confiscate my device then fair enough, but, alot of people obviously slip through. I mean look at the mass of audience recorded boots floating around. Someone always gets the job done.
I'm far back at Tweeter, in the pavilion, not on the lawn, but nevertheless far back.
If it comes off I'll be uploading it here the next day you can be sure of that.

anthmcc, not sure if you read my post on the previous page... I'm goin' to the tweeter center as well... I'm in section 5, near the back, what about you?
About the booting, how about this: If you try I will try it as well... between the two of us, ONE of us should be able to slip through, he-he... but my question, which no one has answered as of yet, and it may be a stupid one:
If you get caught walking in with a tape recorder, will they 1) Tell you to take it back to your car 2) Take the tape recorder away from you on the spot (and as you said, fair enough)
or... 3) Confiscate the tape recorder, AND revoke your tickets??
I believe the rules are posted on the back of the tickets that say management has the right to revoke anyone's tickets at any time, I'd hate to try to sneak it past a frisker who is having a bad day and have them boot me out of the show altogether... I have been waitng for YEARS to see Oasis come back to Boston and I don't want to blow it... so what do you think?

Good stuff mate. Er, I can't even remember where we're sitting I'll let you know when I get home from work as i already have the tickets.
That would be pretty sweet if we both got it recorded then we could mix and match to come up with a decent boot. Also means if one of us get's caught on the way in there's a chance the other got it down.
I honestly don't know about ticket revoking. I do know that they can do this if you are caught selling outside above face value.
Put it this way, if people can still get on planes via security screening with items they shouldn't, I'm confident of getting into a gig with a recording device. ;D

Never even thought of mixing/matching the two together to get the best possible quality! That's CLASS, would you have the software to do it? (I have Cool-Edit at work)... With that being said, I currently do not own a small portable recorder... Are there any machines you recommend? (In terms of size/quality, etc.)... I know about those small "micro-cassette" recorders, do they still sell them? Let me know your ideas, as I still have over a month to purchase one... ;D
