Its quite difficult to notice on first few listens but i just think it works so well how the verse lines of LTBL start with Noel singing and change into Liam by the end of the line. If it comes out as a single most non-oasis fans wont even notice his great piece of production but its a fantastic addition to the song i reckon. Perfect for this kind of song which benefits from the tenderness of Noel's voice and the definition of Liam's.
What you think all?

honestly, i'd like to have heard liam sing all of it.
it really works well with Acquiesce, but it just seems a little disorganized with liam singing the first two verses, then noel comin in with 'baby blue' then a fake ending, back to liam.
but hey, i still really like it

Have a listen and let me know what you think! Ive listened to it loads now and cant make up my mind whether im hearing things or not!

basically what im saying is listen to the words 'WHO KICKED' in the opening line, and 'WHO STOLE' in the second line and i swear they are Noel singing before mixing into Liam to finish the line. Or am I losing it?

I gotta go with birdieboy on this one like.
I first read a review of Let there be Love and it said they took it in turns to sing. I thought it meant they were taking it line by line.
Then I got it when the first initial tracks leaked and I always thought there was something wierd about the opening lines of Liams verses. It sounds nothing like Liam at the start I don't think.
I was thinking about it earlier today when I was listening to the album on my ipod and I thought that's gotta be Noel at the begining and then Liam, but I thought "Nah it's too seemless" then I read birdieboy's post. I reckon you've got it right mate.

I just skipped to that track again just to be sure and the first word and the begining of the second word in the first two verses definately sound strange to me, I reckon it could be Noel or just some wierd production effect that they've used on Liams voice.
What with them both singing on it, then it's more than plausible that they both recorded vocals for all of the song and then decided afterwards who would sing what parts and they decided to use a bit of Noel at the begining of the first two verses.

Noel sings that part coz Liam would never reach those high lines.

To me Who kicked and Who Stole sounds deeper than the rest of the line that Liam sings :s

You're mental! There is no split line stuff going on. Liam sings the verses and chorus, Noel sings the middle bridge bit. There isn't any seamless vocal noodling - apatr from anything that's the sort of studio bullshit Noel is always slagging off. But anyway if you listen it is definitely Liam.

I'm really confused now because I've got the one that leaked a couple of weeks ago and I've got the CD-R version of the album which I assume is from I-tunes. I can notice the vocal thing more on the version I got a couple of weeks ago, but on the version on the CD-R I can hear little effects, which I can't hear on the one which was leaked a few weeks ago. On the one on the CD-R though it sounds like it's just Liam doing them

noel is singing the first few words in each verse.... if you take the song and put it on cakewalk pro audio 9 or protools, then split up the parts of the track and listen to only the vocal parts by itself you can clearly tell it's noel singing "who kicked a" and "who stole the"

Along the lines of what we said earlier.

This is the biggest pile of bullshit I've ever heard. There's no splitting, and that's from me hearing both leaked versions. This is exactly how silly myths start.

I don't have these tools. To me it sounds like Liam all the way.

I remember reading an early review of the song and I got kind of excited thinking they did the split-line production, that it'd be a totally new thing for oasis, but if they did do it it's not even really distinguishable enough because we all argue about it!

Bloody hell. I recommend people go and listen to as many Liam acoustic performances as possible and get used to his quieter, singing voice. Then you'll realise that it's DEFINITELY Liam singing the verses.
